I went outside on my porch this morning and while sitting out there I noticed a sudden pain in my leg. I ignored it, finished my smoke and then came in. However, the longer I've been sitting here the more it hurts. There is no itching - but it's turned into a lump under the skin - it's very hard to the touch though it doesn't protrude out like a normal bite. Also... the top of it has been becoming increasingly yellow. Is this just some weird bite I shouldn't be worried about?

I wasn't really all that worried until I started feeling a tingling sensation and stomach cramps, but that could just be an unrelated issue. Do any spider bites look like this? I have noticed a few large spiders hang out around my porch, but no nests so I always left them alone and so far they've done the same.

I live in Oregon if that helps.

I found a white cheese lasagna recipe online, but most of the reviews say that the chicken in it is rather flavorless, but that the recipe is otherwise good. What would be a good way to season the chicken before I bake it? This lasagna recipe has onion, garlic, basil, oregano, ricotta, Parmesan and mozzarella in it and I'm just not sure what kind of spices on the chicken won't clash.

Just planning dinner for myself and my boyfriend and I don't know a lot about red vs. white wine vs. beer with meals. I have all of those on hand, but which would work better?

The service I use doesn't always provide a last name and sometimes with busy schedules it can take a while to get a hold of the pen pal I want to write. So, my question is - will USPS still deliver my letters to these new pen pals without a last name?

I've been a bit road blocked on thinking up a good project for demonstrating the scientific method. It has to be observable, measurable, repeatable and falsifiable. Basically I just need a question to answer when it comes to the natural world (flora and fauna) but I'm running a little low on creativity. Most of the ideas I come up with just seem too obvious - such as measuring how much a plant grows with different fertilizers. Any ideas?

I've been having some problems with my itunes lately - such as it ending a song and not continuing to the next and making five and six copies of each song, though I only have one file for it. So I tried to uninstall itunes from my macbook, but even after following the directions given for doing so, I cannot get it to properly uninstall everything.

Now my itunes won't work and I cannot reinstall - I keep getting errors about parts of the install in the /Library/Extensions folder not installing correctly and it tells me to try installing again. However this is a folder which I have looked for on my computer and cannot find. There is /Library but not /Library/Extensions.

Obviously after following the instructions on the apple site I still have something of itunes left on my computer as the icon for it is still in my dock - it just has a big question mark on it. I'm relatively new to macbooks - just bought this one new in September and I'm quite lost as to what I'm doing wrong uninstalling this. Any help would be appreciated.

So I was given one of those ClickFree HD525 500GB Automatic Backups. Honestly, I really have no use for an automatic backup - I have a MacBook and have backed it up through Time Machine. What I wanted was an external hard drive. However from the package it says that when I plug it in it will automatically start backing up everything on my computer. I just want to run my music and such off of it. Does anyone know if there is a way to override that annoying function so I can just use it as a regular no frills external hard drive?
