  • Why do people keep asking who went through on Idol tonight over and over?

So why is it that people spend time typing up this same old Idol question when all they have to do is look at the questions already asked, and the answer is right there in front of them, because it's been answered a gazillion times?

  • Are you OK with Idol judges' choices - Megan, Jasmin, Matt, Anoop?

The American Idol judges picked four wildcards singers to advance to the next round. (Yes, three were planned, but they sent four.) Should the judges be allowed to send this many, or should only it be up to America?

  • Archuleta's vocal coach says Idol producers tamper - truth or an excuse?

OK, guys, I admit, I've been out here trying to bash rumors that producers are favoring Cook. After reading this story and listening to this interview with Archie's vocal coach, I don't know what to think anymore! Which of these scenarios do you think is right...or what is your opinion?

    1. The show is rigged from top to bottom.

    2. It's all on the up and up - America really chooses.

    3. The producers are tampering to help Cook win, but America still makes the final decision.

    4. The producers asked D'Arch to change his songs for his own good, because they didn't suit his style.

    5. Archie's camp is laying the groundwork to cry foul in case Cook wins.

  • Does David Archuleta deserve to win American Idol because of his vocal paralysis story?

I keep seeing all these posts saying David Archuleta deserves to win American Idol "especially because of what he went through with his vocal paralysis." Some people say he really didn't have it. I tried to debunk that rumor by asking here if anyone could provide solid info confirming that he was really diagnosed by a doctor and what treatment he went through, but no one could provide anything. All I got were links to bios that just said he suffered vocal paralysis during Star Search but went on to win, and two other answers saying he didn't receive any treatment So I'm just wondering...

    1. Does he really deserve to win because of vocal paralysis?

    2. What if it turns out he really never had it - would that change your opinion of him?

  • Who would you vote for on American Idol if the finals included only.......?

Sanjaya and Kevin Covais (Chicken Little)?

(No David's! That question has been asked and answered a billion times now.)

  • Anybody got info on David Archuleta's vocal paralysis?

I'm looking for info on David's vocal paralysis, and I can't find some key pieces, so maybe someone can help me.

I have searched all over the Internet and read several articles, but I cannot find any info about how he was diagnosed or what kind of treatment he received. I can only find interviews where he talks about finding out he had it during Star Search, but he continued to sing, and he won. I've also read it happened while he was going through puberty and he had trouble singing for more than a minute and a half, but he never lost his voice entirely. In interviews, he said he just decided he needed to start singing again, so he did.

Does anyone know of any articles or documentation (not opinions, but links to hard facts) that would answer these two questions:

    1. Was he ever officially diagnosed by a doctor?

    2. What kind of treatment did he receive?

We all know he's cute and wonderful, so there's no need to post that here. I'm looking for facts, please!

  • Can we offer the Idol judges some new catch phrases?

Are you tired of hearing the same old, boring statements coming from the judges on American Idol? Let's come up with some alternatives and retire these words/phrases:

    Pitchy

    caberet

    karaoke

    Yo, listen up, dawg

    You look like a star

    gibberish, incoherent rambling (Paula)

...and the one phrase in most dire need of retirement:

"You could sing the phone book."

Anybody got any good replacement suggestions for these or any others I might have missed?

  • Has David Cook ever talked about his brother?

Seems like I remember reading an article saying David Cook refused to talk about his brother's condition. Then I saw an answer here claiming he was talking about it and using it for sympathy votes, as opposed to David Archuletta who has never talked about vocal paralysis.

I could have sworn I remembered Arch talking about his paralysis several times early on Idol, but I don't recall ever hearing Cook mention his brother. Did I miss something? If anyone knows of an article or something that quotes David specifically talking about his brother (not just an article about his brother, but David actually saying something about it), can you post it here, please?

  • Help! My 1998 Jeep died and won't start and gauges won't move, but the battery is fine. Suggestions?

It had been driving with no problems until we went to the store yesterday. We came out, got in and it started right up. We put it in reverse and went back less than a foot when it died. It sounded like it was going to start again, and the radio came on, but it just wouldn't fire. It acted like it was out of gas. Even though it had plenty, we added more. The battery was fine (lights and radio worked), but all the gauges were flat. Turned over the key and none of the needles would budge. A nice man stopped and gave us a jump, no change. He checked the fuses, and they were fine. Forgive me, but I don't know the engine size, and I had to leave it in the parking lot, so I can't look. It's 1998 a Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 with nearly 200,000 miles.

I would be very grateful for help and would especially be thankful if you would use easy to understand terms! Am I overlooking something easy to fix? I would also like to have some idea of what's wrong before I call a mechanic. Thanks!
