(and im not one to use the term 'love' lightly)

I know this guy, who is smart, funny, and a very unusual and interesting person. he dated one of my good friends for a few weeks, but it never really led to anything. i can't stop thinking of him, and its driving me insane! he is NOTHING like the guys i am normally attracted to. also, i sometimes think he does this hot&cold thing. where sometimes i dont know if he cares i exist. but the i realise he had confided in me much more than even people hes known longer, and feel like im making up his weird behavior in my head!

i know he doesnt like me how i like him for now, but i have never felt so strongly for somebody before, and i feel sure that eventually, he will like me, though it may not be for a long while.

so: what should i do until he does like me? since i started liking him, ive been incapable of even having a little crush on another boy! before him, there was this great guy i wanted to date, but now i have no interest in him, or any other boy. i love him for who he is, and hate him for what he is doing to me!

I was molested by my older cousin when i was very young. he, i later found out, has a psychological problem that may have come about by him being molested when he was very young. i don't hold him accountable, because of that and he barely knew what he was doing. i just need to know, could this have an effect on me, in the same way an experience may have affected him? what can i do?
