He's an almost 2 year old Saint Bernard. He's a picky eater and we suspect allergic to grain. He's currently eating Natural Choice Lamb and Potato, Grain Free Large Breed Adult. He doesn't love it and at $2.00 per pound we shouldn't have to beg him to eat. He currently weighs about 160 to 170 pounds.

They make great pets for the right families. They are too smart for their own good but that's the challenge to owning one. Never a dull moment.

I have a good sense of humor. With a Cocker Spaniel and Saint Bernard living in my house I have to, but when a child loses a pet and you give a wisecrack answer it's not funny. It's mean and juvenile. Your age and mentality are showing. Go find something constructive to do. Hope I haven't used too many big words for you. Go help your mom with the chores.

My St Bernard won't go down a flight of 6 stairs. I've tried tempting with treats. He's very interested but afraid to come down. He will go down 3 or 4 steps with his front paws but the back feet stay upstairs! He's 13 months old, very large (about 170) and and on medication for grand mal seizures. I'd like him to be able to join the family downstairs. It's cooler in the summer and we don't want to leave him alone upstairs (it's a bilevel).

Saw a question earlier. Don't believe that a "reputable breeder" NEVER gets one. I know they do everything they can to prevent, but never? Be honest reputable breeders out there. Tell us what you really do to those "substandard pups"

Have St Bernard. Urine is killing large area of lawn. Smell won't go away even after heavy rain. Using different spot will only create more distruction. No, Getting rid of the Saint is not an option!!

Would like to have insurance but have heard some companies don't have good reputations.

My Saint Bernard puppy has been having seizures since I got him at 9 weeks old. He's been to three vets. None know what's wrong except that he was probably born with something. Probably not epilepsy as that usually doesn't present symptoms this young. Is on 300mg of phenobarbital and seizures are getting more frequent. Two this week.

Does anyone have any experience or ideas to help?
