Is this teething?! Help!?

My DS just cut his first tooth last week and it wasn't too bad. Woke up 2x at night crying but as soon as I put the pacifier in he went right back to sleep and was fussy during the day, but nothing terrible. It is just barely above the gum, but I can feel it. He has always been an amazing sleeper...7hours straight from 2 weeks on! He has been going down at 845p and was sleeping straight thru until 700 or 715....until 3 nights ago! He has been falling asleep during his bottle which he always does but then seems very restless until around 11:30 when he has been waking crying and not able to be soothed with pacifier. We've been bringing him into our bed which always makes him go back to sleep for the night, but now he's waking up in our bed screaming every 30-45 minutes and will go back to sleep with pacifier and then is up again. I've tried Tylenol and Little Teether Teething tablets dissolved in water and then given. Nothing seems to help. He has ALWAYS been a terrible eater, and was eating 2-3 solid meals a day of organic baby food and then 3-4bottles with 4-5oz in each totaling about 20oz a day. He is now only drinking 2-3oz bottles every 5 hours so is down tom12-15oz bottles. I took him to dr yesterday and she said probably teething but he's always Been a bad eater. He's not too fussy during day only if he's not attached to my hip or being entertained by me. He also sounds very stuffy at night up his nose so I also gave saline drops which he screams over. He's never been sick before. Is this teething?! My hubby and I feel like zombies of 3 nights of terrible sleep after always getting 9 hours of sleep the past 7 months!! Any help is great! GG nap with him now! Thx!
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago7 month old baby Eating schedule? Eats too little? Help!?
My son is 7.5 months and formula fed. He is 18lbs and has never been a big eater...hates to eat actually, except for solids, so maybe I should say he has ALWAyS hated bottles! He had reflux and was on medicine, but is no longer. He sleeps from 8:30-7a every night with no night feedings, and has always been like that. he is not crawling and no teeth so I'm not sure what to give him for snacks. He has no set schedule but this is today's schedule. Thoughts? Advice?
Wake 630-715ish....eat 5oz bottle
830-845...eat 1tbsp of oatmeal mixed with tbsp of fruit baby food
1115...drink 4oz bottle
330...eat 4 oz bottle
630....eat 1tbsp of rice cereal mixed within tbsp of veggie baby food
830...5oz bedtime bottle
I've tried upping the bottle ounces and solids but he refuses and then spits up even more so I don't force it.
Too little? Too much? He won't eat before 4.5-5 hours either.
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoStill NO schedule for 6 month old! HELP!?
How can I get my 6 month old on a schedule when he gets up a different time every day? He sleeps in our room still from 9p or 530,6,630,7a and then cat naps during the day all at different times. Any ideas? Do they have to be on a schedule?
2 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade ago6 month old still in Nap Nanny!?
My 6 month old loves his Nap Nanny and refuses crib. I tried for 5 weeks and he just wakes every 30 minutes screaming. I REFUSE the cry it out method so not an option. Is it such a big deal if he still isn't in crib? Any other moms out there still have no luck with crib and baby still sleeping in parents bedroom??
4 AnswersToddler & Preschooler1 decade agoIs it normal my 3 and a half month old sleeps all the time?!?
My 14 week old son wakes at 7a, naps from 8:30-10:30 with me in bed, awake until 12:30 or 1 or even until 2:30, then sleeps until 3:30-4ish, awake until 7ish then naps again until 8:30 and then finally goes to bed at 10p, but is MISERABLE from 8:30-10:00p. He still isn't in his crib and naps only with me in our bed and then at night sleeps in his Nap Nanny. I feel like his sleeping is EXTREME. Any suggestions for getting him to bed earlier and not waking to have that 10:00 bottle. 1st baby and any help is appreciated!!! Thanks!!
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoShould my 2 month old be able to hold his head up by himself?
My son is 9 weeks and is Mr.Bobblehead! He can not lift his head up and SCREAMS every time I try tummy time that after 2-3 minutes I just pick him up b/c he won't even attempt at that point. I have also tried placing him belly down on me and the boppy to see if he will lift his head, but he just lays there or cries. When should he be able to do this? When I am holding him I try not to hold his head but it then just lays back or he rests it on my shoulder. Is he still good until 3 months then he should be doing this?
3 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoIs Reglan good to get my milk supply back after starting birth control and supply decreasing?
My OB prescribed Reglan today to increase my milk supply since it DRAMATICALLY decreased due to starting birth control. Has anyone tried it and does it work? Do you need to stay on it to keep your milk supply up even if I stop taking the pill?
4 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoBREASTFEEDING AND BIRTH CONTROL-MAJOR HELP NEEDED!?
My son is 9 weeks old and I just started taking birth control again for the past 10 days. I am breastfeeding and now producing almost 0 milk since I started this. I am going to have to try formula since my milk supply is almost gone. I have had sex twice since my 6 week post partum check-up. I started bleeding this AM and dont know if it's from the pill or not. Can I just stop taking the pill today and will my milk supply return? Also, is the bleeding my period returning? I can't be pregnant, can I?
6 AnswersNewborn & Baby1 decade agoMy 7 week old sleeps all day and 7 hours at night-should I be concerned?
He only nurses for 5 minutes total--not 5 minutes a side. My pediatrician said I must have thick milk and he is gaining almost an ounce a day, so not to worry. He goes 3 hours during the day and has 5-6 min breastfeedings each time, takes a 3oz bottle of breastmilk before bed, and then sleeps 10:00p-5:00a then 5 min feed and sleeps till 7a. Anyone else have a sleeper and VERY efficient nurser? Should I be waking him? I heard not to, since he is gaining weight nicely.
1 AnswerNewborn & Baby1 decade ago40 wks +1 day and BLEEDING due to internal or prelabor?!?
I had an internal exam yesterday and I was 0cm dialated, VERY slightly effaced, but the Dr. said she could feel the very top of the baby's head. She said I might have some spotting and increased discharge after the exam. Well, I did yesterday-very little, and then it went away. II had 2 clots of discharge as well-maybe my mucous plug??? Woke this AM to mucousy brownish, pink discharge which as increased throughout the day now causing me to wear a thin pad. I called and spoke to the nurse and she said w/o any contractions it is just from the exam and probably not a bloody show, especially since I am not having any contractions. The amount of blood has increased and is still pink, and also somewhat mucousy. Has anyone experienced this and then went into labor soon after? I am now overdue and REALLY looking for some hope! This is my 1st pregnancy so I dont know what to expect. Any advice is appreciated!!
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoSymphysis Pubis Disorder-- What?! Help Needed! :-(?
I am 38 weeks pregnant today and had my first internal exam yesterday. I woke up in the middle of the night with such intense pain I couldn't even roll over or go back to sleep. I could barely walk and trying to put on shorts or pants is a nightmare. I called my OB office and talked to the nurse and she said it is something called Symphysis Pubis disorder and caused when your pelvic bone muscles begin to separate due to increased pressure from the baby. I was prescribed Tylenol with codeine to take every 4-6 hours and just took my 1st dose hoping for relief. My cervix was completely closed and no dialation at this point. Could this possibly signal labor coming soon? I have read that when the baby gets low before birth it can be very painful, which is the point I am at now. Anyone have this before labor began?
Also, I have had loose bowel movements 1x/day for the past 3 days. Normally, people wouldn't think this is a big deal, but I am a person that goes 1x every 10 days, so something seems odd. Could this be another sign of labor?
PLEASE help with any insight...I am ready to pull this little guy out! THANK YOU!
2 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoIs pressure that has gotten increasingly stronger in my upper vaginal area normal at 35.5 weeks pregnant?
What could it signal? Anyone have any similar problems?
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoDoes anyone have pictures of 29 weeks pregnant bellies?
Everyone keeps telling me that I am sooo small for being 7 months pregnant, but I eat CONSTANTLY-probably about 3,000 calories a day, but I was underweight to start-5'6 107 lbs. I have gained weight. The Dr. hasn't said anything, but EVERY person I meet does. Does anyone have any pictures?
2 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago26 WEEKS PREGNANT! What is the pain I feel below my left breast and above my rib cage?
It is VERY uncomfortable, and really only acts up when I am sitting down not standing. Is this normal? I am not very big-have only gained about 17 pounds in 26 weeks and still in regular clothes with bella band.
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoBarely any fetal movement at almost 27 weeks for the past 3 days? Has anyone else experienced this?
No other symptoms but back pain, not lower, in the middle of my back which I have had for the past 4-5 weeks. He won't even move when I lie on my side and drink OJ or cold water. Is it possible for them to have really inactive periods of time?
5 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoNO Baby Bump at 18 weeks!!?
I am 18 weeks pregnant and just have the tiniest belly that looks like I have my period bloat. My belly is even tinier in the morning, but by the PM looks bigger. Still, I am in regular clothes just not being able to button them. I was 104 lbs and 5'6 when I became pregnant and am now only 108 lbs. Is this normal? I also haven't any movement either. Wouldn't I know if there was something wrong? I feel completely fine and not even pregnant, just hungry all the time!!
9 AnswersPregnancy1 decade ago1st TIME PREGNANCY QUESTION!?
I am 15 weeks pregnant and have the smallest baby bump ever, but love seeing it! When I layed down today on my back, I had this bulge under my belly button. When I pushed lightly on it, it hurt just a tiny bit but was pretty hard. It almost looked like a melon size tumor growing in my tummy. Is this normal?!!? It freaked me out! Some times its there, and sometimes its not!
Also, I have pain in my lower left ovary pretty much 5/7 days of the week. It feels like ovulation pain but never goes away. I talked to my Dr. about it and she said it could just be that part of the unterus stretching, but wanted to see if anyone else experiences this. I have had it for about 6 weeks, not terrible pain, just uncomfortable. I already had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and the baby was where it should be, so not thinking it could be the baby down there.
Alright ladies, any input on these 2 things would be great! Thanks soo much!

5 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoHello 9 WEEKERS! I need some feedback..?
Just wanted to hear some feedback/advice probably more because I am a worry wart than anything else! I am 9.5 weeks pregnant, and have had cramping sometimes worse than others for the past 2 days. I am not bleeding, but at times feel pressure near my vaginal area. I still do not have any pregnancy symptoms. I did have an early ultrasound because I do not have one symptom, but that was 2 weeks ago and the ultrasound looked great even with a strong heartbeat. Should I be concerned with the cramps (no bleeding fingers crossed!) and no pregnancy symptoms? Anyone else in the same boat? I am so worried, but I am sure everything is alright...right... :-I
3 AnswersPregnancy1 decade agoREALLY WORRIED-MISCARRIED?! HELP!?
I am 7.5 weeks pregnant( I hope) and experienced some queasiness last week; the first day of Week 6. I also had some aversions to food, was extremely tired, and wanted to eat only carbs all day long. I woke up on my first day of Week 7 with not one symptom-no fatigue, no queasiness, back to eating fruits and veggies; etc. Could I have miscarried? I go to my first prenatal appointment in 3 days, but am sooo worried, I wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. Would they be able to tell if the baby is OK without an ultrasound? Please help with any input. I am not cramping or bleeding either. Thanks so much!
