  • complications of OHSS why did they cancel?

we've been TTC over 4 years now and started iui treatment on 15th may 2011, first cycle was cancelled due to follicles only on left ovary (no left tube), second cycle we got one follicle on right ovary so they done IUI with little hope and got BFN so we were on our third cycle, i had been taking clomid CD 2-6 and was doing Gonal-F injections CD 5,7,9 usually due to have scan on CD11 but clinic was closed yesterday so had it this morning, she was scanning me and wasn't saying anything which in itself is a bad sign, when i asked what was wrong how many follicles and which sides etc she said both my ovaries were extremely engorged left more so than the right so cycle was cancelled i have 7 mature foillicles in totally unsure how many on each side and apparenly a few immature ones, because its nurser lead clinic they rarely have time to talk i know we have to be safe when having sex etc but

WHAT ACTUALLY ARE THE RISK OF OHSS WITH OR WITHOUT HAVING SEX?

would be grateful for any advice xx

  • can we claim on the insurance policy?

Sadly our dog was killed in an accident about 2-3weeks ago, i was clearing out his paper work etc and came across an insurance policy we had got when we got him chip which was about 3weeks before the accident, we got a free insurance policy up until 17th feb 2011, sadly our collie was killed on 16th feb 2011, the accident wasn't preventable, but the policy says we could claim if he died? if i had not found the paper work i wouldn't have even know about this but does anyone know if we can claim and if so if they would/should pay out? it says a death due to injury would be up to £1,000... we're not looking for that, if we got anything then would use it to put stuff on his grave etc. anyone know anything about this?

  • 2 pos hpt, 2pos opk, 1neg hpt...??? need advice and views!!!?

short history: ttc 3years 6months, tried clomid twice nothing, have DS from ex. dignoses PCOS , one tube backwards and mishapped uterus, blood problems and also suspected sperm allergy.... We're waiting on IUI, OH has super sperm. got preg in 2010 but was suspected ectopid.

friday night done 2 cheap tests different brands both at night so not FMU but both tests had visable faint lines, both tests were cheap but different brands... OH seen the faint lines also so not imagining it.... i then last night went to asda and bought First response one step ones (which i have found out are apparently 100miu/ml?) this was negative.... so today i was going to get hpt but not been out yet so i had heard that okp can be used as pregnancy test so done 2 opk and they were mega positive? i know i ovulated about 14-15day ago rougly....

so i am worried its a chemical or what not or could i actually be pregnant? surely can't get two tests positive on different brands if i wasn't? and surely can't get two false positives? i really dunno what to think etc? i am going to GP tomorrow to get blood tests... but i have had miscarriages and such and always been told the first few weeks are the most important with progestrone etc so unsure if there is anything else i can do or try or what not? i have a digital pregnancy test at mine but i know these aren't as sensitive as the cheap ones as well.....

can anyone help??? anything please i am going crazy..!!!

  • Does anyone know if you can get glitter tattoo's?

I decided on a tattoo (my 5th) and I was wondering if it's possible to get a tattoo with glitter like ink on it? i'm based in Scotland, UK so although it might be okay in US but might not be in uk does anyone know??? and has anyone got a glitter ink tattoo before? was it more expensive? i am considering phoning around the tattoo studios and seeing what they say to my request its a pretty simple and small design so shouldn't take more than about 5 minutes to do it..... anyways would love advice from people who know or have had this done.

    thanks

  • please help my 3year old has less than 400kl per day!!!?

My son was born 2months premature, he was 4lb 5.2oz at birth, he was breastfeed until he was diagnosed with GERD at 9weeks old and breastfeeding was advised to stop by stupid nurse, by the time a doctor found out he was on bottle milk it was too late and my milk had dried up. he was put on solids at 12weeks because he was always sick and was a way to try and keep things down. it helped slightly....

at 1year old he was eating alot of powder and baby foods but when it came to changing him onto more solid food he started refusing to eat. we tried to change him back to smoother foods but it was too late and he has almost developed a phobia of foods, we thought he was just being fussy, we tried so many different things and wasted sooo much money and food, we were willing to try anything... anyways after 2.5years of this problem i have begun to get beyond worried, i have been to doctors and it took them about 18months to really take notice of what i said. my son was in hospital over a year ago with intestinal blockage which was only resolved with an enema, which did help but he has always had this problem. he has been sent and seen by a dietitian but she wants him to get diagnosed with ASD or something before she can really help she doesn't believe its how we deal with food that's the problem but the way james see's food and how it feels to him physically and emotionally..... anyways at the moment and for the last roughly james has either eat nothing or this is his max daily intake:

4-5 cheerios a day (not bowls single cheerios)

    1/2 a Clementine (small one)

    3 small fromage frias

    50-75ml of orange juice

    & 180-200ml of milk.

he has delayed mentally and physically abilities. he has very limited Communication skills. i have tried fighting with him to eat, i have tried being relaxed and just placing it down and letting him try it (which he never does) i have tried new foods i have tried old favs i have tried sticking to the same foods, i have a tried taking the milk out his diet which does nothing but lower his calorie counts, also got him to help me prepare foods too nothing.....

i am beyond ideas on what to do and would be really grateful if anyone has any suggestions about what i can try????

please i really don't want my son to get sick. he has less than 400kl intake per day! i am worried about him he has never been prone to getting sick and even when he has swine flu he has it for 48hours! anyways has anyone been through this or got tips hints etc...

  • urgent hair advice needed!!!!?

usually on christmas eve i got to the hairdressers to get my hair professionally straightened, my hair is mega mega frizzy and now very very long! anyways last year i went and the women was great and i bought the same hair straighteners she used, but they don't work like hers... well its not the Straighteners but its whatever she puts in after she is done that makes my hair perfect....

after she is finished she put this stuff in my hair that weighs it down and makes it unfizzy and takes the static out of it. my hair was straight for days because of it, i would ask her what she uses but doesn;t speak english and don;t have time tomorrow to go and get my hair done....

does anyone know what it is she might use? or something you use yourself???

my hair is almost at my bum, its really thick and really frizzy its pre straightened which takes me 3hours but i want to try and get it as perfectly straight as it was last year...

any help would be great been going mad trying to figure out what it could be she's using
