Sometimes, when I play a downloaded .avi file in my WMP, it shows the length of the file as being incorrect - much shorter than what the file actually is. For example, if I'm playing a video that is 43 minutes long, the player shows that it is only 23 minutes long (these numbers are just random). When the video reaches the time that the player is showing (e.g. 23 minutes) the video continues without interruption, but I can't search in any part of the video after the time it shows, which is annoying.

I'm sure I'm not explaining this well, but if you can understand what I'm trying to say, and have any advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't remember it happening, but I could be wrong. If it did happen, please give the date of the game.

By the way. I've recently been to a website that asked me if I would allow access to my clipboard. Probably stupid to say yes, but I did. I'm thinking this may have caused the problem. There are no other problems, and virus and anti-spyware scans have turned up nothing.

Was there not a rule installed this year that if you fought within the last five minutes of a game, that you were given a misconduct, and would miss the next game, or at least would be fined? Does this apply to the playoffs? I mean, Malone and Hatcher just went at it, and neither Greg Millen or Bob Cole are saying anything about this. What's the deal?

If a team is on a 5 on 4 power play, and there is a delayed penalty, and the team scores a goal, which penalty is negated? Is it the delayed penalty, or does the man in the box come out, and the team start a new, two minute power play?

I couldn't play an .avi file, and I've been all over the net trying to find a solution. I've downloaded Divx and everything like that, as well as codec packages. Then I got a AVI chunk error or something like that. So back all over the net I went, trying to figure that out. I was told to download virtualdub. So I did. Now, all media players crash when I try to play video files. It plays songs in my library fine, but won't play files either on my C drive, or off of a dvd (burnt, .avi files).

Anyone know what's wrong, and how I can fix this?

I've downloaded divx, and codec packs, and it still won't play. I've heard that I can't play .avi files longer than an hour long, is this true? Is there away around this? Help, please, I've been trying to fix this for two days, and I'm getting no where.

So I was having a problem playing an .avi file in Windows Media player (I heard you can't play .avi files that are longer than an hour - is this true?). So I downloaded the K-Lite Codec Pack. I no longer get the error message (may be missing a codec, etc.), but now when I try to play the file, it says "Playing" and then stops right away. No error or anything. Anyone know what's going on? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded season 11 of MASH. All sixteen episodes are .avi files, and the first 15 episodes play fine, but when I try to play the final episode (Goodbye, Farewell and Amen, which is two and a half hours long, and considerably longer than the rest of the files) Windows media player tells me that it can't play the file, because it may not support the file type or that I may be missing a codec.

If it's an .avi file, as are the rest of the episodes, shouldn't it play fine? Anyone know what the problem is, and how to fix it?

I want to set a picture as my desktop backround. When I do, it automatically sets it to "stretch", which distorts the picture horribly. If I set it to "centre," it enlarges the picture so big that I only see a portion of the the picture on my desktop, and not nearly enough to be satisfied with. Is there anyway I can fix this?

It's a JPEG image, I don't know if I need to convert it, or even how to do that should I need to.

My monitor turns off after twenty minutes. I keep going into control panel, Performance and Maintenance, Power options, and then changing the monitor options from 'turn off after twenty minutes' to 'turn off never,' and then I press 'apply.' However, it always reverts back to 'turn off after twenty minutes.' It's so annoying, especially when I'm watching a movie or something on my computer. Can someone please help?

I hear the little noise that the computer makes when I plug it in, but no box or window appears, meaning I have to find it manually, I guess. How do I do that?

Mine was Frank Burns, because Larry Linville was just so dedicated to this character. He was a jerk, and we all hated him, and that's just a nod to how great Mr. Linville played him. He constanly made me laugh, and could easily make me feel sorry for him, with just a look.

Of course, loved Hawkeye as well, and everyone else too.

Whether you like him or not, by the end of his career, will A-Rod be the greatest player of all time?

My vote is yes. And I hate him.
