Fixed asset? current asset? or would it be classed the same way as stock for resale

I'm considering investing in bonds, issued as subordinated debt by a company. While I doubt that the company will ever go bust, is it possible for it to choose not to pay the interest on a bond, as opposed to simply defaulting?

I was looking, just now at a bond issued by Barclays bank in the UK. Even though the face value is 100 the bid price is only 84 and the interest is 7% (the symbol is EB20 if anyone is intersted)... so assuming that Barclays bank is unlikely to go bust (too big to fail!!) why the huge difference btween the face value and bid price? is that usual for bonds? Am I missing something?

Yahoo messenger doesn't seem to offer a chat room service anymore. Is there some other way I can use yahoo messenger like an old style chat room.

4. We're also raising money for breast cancer so any ideas on that front... something that gets people happily chucking money...
