OK, so I just got FIVE thumbs down for saying The Knowing was a really bad movie. Seriously, this was 2 hours of my life I will never get back! The story was ridiculous, the script was clich'ed (the sign language bit, particularly) and the acting was bad. What does everyone else think?

Apparently Leo DiCaprio's production company are planning to remake the original Neverending Story movie, with 'better' special effects. I loved this movie as a kid and I'm not sure I want to see a new version of it. What does everyone else think?

I loved this film, it really moved me. I'd be really interested to hear what other people thought of it. Which characters did you like/ dislike? Apart from Amy Adams' character, were you sympathetic to any of the other family members? What was the relevance of the eccentric artist?

It's my choice at my next book club meeting and I'm looking for a book that will really knock everyone out, as my last 2 choices weren't rated very highly!

We are all female, mid-20s and our highest rated books so far have been The Kite Runner, The Road, Love In The Time of Cholera and Catcher in the Rye.

Can anyone recommend and AMAZING book, with lots of good discussion points and preferably no more than 400 pages long?

I'm turning 30 in April and my mum wants to get me something special, like a keepsake. Usually some kind of jewellery would be perfect for this occasion, but I don't wear any jewellery and alreay have a lovely watch.

Does anyone have any ideas of something she could get me that I would be able to keep and cherish for a long time?

I'm trying to remember this movie - it's about a brother & sister who either run away from home/ get kidnapped and possibly live with gypsies/ in a caravan. It was set in England, late 70s/early 80s. At the end the evil woman was thrown off a cliff into the ocean and the little girl says, 'I hope she doesn't die but gets sick and has to take nasty medicine.' Any ideas?

Both characters were played by Harrison Ford during the same era - one had a spaceship and got the princess; one had a whip and wore a trilby and got all the women. Who was best?
