Essentially, I am sick of seeing questions from people who don't want to pay for their music. As sick as the music industry is, it certainly will not get any better with the exchange of free files. If I could mow lawns and do odd jobs at the age of 10 to purchase an album or a single, why is it that people, mostly younger, seem to see free music as an "entitlement"?

Someone explain to me why getting an artist's work for free is acceptable.

They just seemed to have a sound that had more "warmth" to them when compared to CDs.

BQ1: Do you still have a vinyl record collection?

Looking for the best torrent sites for some older (70s/80s) concerts that I have on vinyl but would like to have in digital format.

Is it just me, or do the prices seem to be getting out of hand? My first concert in 78 (Van Halen/Black Sabbath) cost all of $9.75 including "fees" and parking. Through the 80s, the usual going rate was at or under $15 with all the extras included. All of the current tours I am looking at are usually at least $125, with Rush being the sole exception at $75. Add the fees that the leading ticket distributor adds to the price, and its just crazy, and don't even get me started on parking fees! Now, I will freely admit that the venues are a far step better than where I saw most of my concerts in those days (Hollywood Sportatorium), but are they so much better to charge this much more money?

What I don't understand is how the average teenager these days can afford to go to any show (let alone multiple shows) in a year without help from their family. It seems that by the time you have to pay for the ticket/unfair fees/parking you are almost automatically paying $100 per ticket.

The rumors have been on the net for years, but anyone know if they are actually in the studio yet?
