laboratory A reported the Magnesium (atomic weight = 24.31) content of a solution (density = 0.985 g mL-1) as 194 ppm by weight, whereas laboratory B reported the Magnesium content of another sample of the same solution as 8.15mM. Which laboratory measurement was the larger?
1 AnswerChemistry8 years agoI think my friend likes my crush!?
I seriously think my friend likes my crush. She didn't tell me but I can feel it! My crush and I are quite close friends and sometimes he tells me that my friend smses him almost everyday and talks to him whenever he's online! What should I do? I couldn't just confess to the guy I like and tell my friend off :( That would ruin our relationship. P.s. my friend knows that I like him. Help!

An acetate buffer is prepared by adding 40 ml of 1.00 M acetic acid to 200 ml of
an aqueous solution containing 2.00 grams of sodium acetate. The final solution is
diluted to 300 ml. (The molecular weight of sodium acetate is 82.0g/mole, and the
pKa of acetic acid is 4.76)
1). What is the pH of the solvent system?
2). What would the final pH be if 10 ml of 1.0 M of hydrochloric acid is added into this
buffer solution? Is this still a good buffer?
3). What would the pH have been if the buffer hadn’t been present? (The same amount of
acid is added into water directly).

A skydiver jumps out of a hovering helicopter. 3 seconds later, another skydiver jumps out, so they both fall along the same vertical line relative to the helicopter. Both sky divers fall with the same acceleration.
Does the vertical distance between them (a) increaes, (b) decrease, or (c) stay the same?
Does the difference in their velocities (d)increase, (e)decrease or (f)stay the same? (Assume that g is constant).
Thanks :)

Define east as the negative direction and west as the positive direction. (a) If a car is travelling east, its acceleration must be eastward. (b) if a car is slowing down, its acceleration may be positive. (c) An object with constant nonzero acceleration can never stop and stay stopped.

A certain cable car in San Francisco can stop in 10 s when traveling at maximum speed. On one occasion when the cable car is traveling at maximum speed, the driver sees a dog a distance d meters in front of the car and slams on the brakes instantly. The car decelerates constantly and reaches the dog 8.0 s later, and the dog jumps off the track just in time. If the car travels 4.0 m beyond the position of the dog before coming to a stop, how far was the car from the dog? (Hint: You will need three equations)

Please help me with this thanks:)
A taxi company charges $3.00 for the first kilometer or less traveled. For every 400 meters thereafter it charges $0.20. Express the cost (in dollars) of a ride, as a function of a distance x traveled (in kilometers), where we specify the values of x to be [0,5].
