  • I need to know what 2 phrases on my heraldic coat of arms mean.?

    The entire description is:" Or, on a bend engrailed azure, a cinquefoil of the field"

    I know that this means the background is gold (yellow), and there is a blue stripe running from top left to lower right. I do not know what design the 'engrailed' is on the stripe. I also cannot find what a 'cinquefoil of the field" is but it sounds like a 5-petal flower of some sort? Thanks to anyone who can help!

  • How did meterologists forcast weather before satelites?

    I ask because my dad was a Navy Meteorologist during WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired in 1969, and passed away in 1973 or I would ask him. I know weather satelites started to be used in the late 50's, what about then?

  • Has anyone tried the gasoline additive "ETHOS"?

    The info on their website states that they can guarantee 15% to 20% better gas milage. You ad 1 ounce per 10 gallons of gas, and the company says the engine is more fuel-efficient and releases less polloution.

    Has anyone had any experience with this product?

    When we try to add gas(I think it's a 38-gal tank)the pump keeps shutting off like it's full.We pull the gas nozzle out,air comes out,we can add another gal or 2. what is cause? how to fix?

    My husband and I want to move to a place in the Trans-Pecos area in west Texas (Good Solar coverage, almost constant wind).

    We have been looking into a system (s) that provide around 1000 KWH per month.

    We have been doing research. It seems that we would be spending $50,000 - $75,000. Is there any way to do it (reliably) for half to one-quarter that? How long do these systems last?

  • My horse kicked me, I have a bruise.?

    I was kicked in the thigh by my yearling filly. She didn't break any of my bones, but I have a big bruise that seems to be very deep into the muscle.

    Hurts when I walk. I have taken tylenol.

    What else can I do to help the bruise heal faster?
