  • AZO UTI test positive for UTI, should I wait for doctor to call with their results?

    Or should I call them first thing Monday. I was tested on Thursday at the doctor, my lower left back was still hurting, even worse, so this morning I took one of those AZO UTI home test strips and it was positive for Nitrites. My question is, should I call them Monday and ask for the antibiotics or should aI wait to get the results from my doctors' cultures and tests that she did on Thursday evening?

    Just so you know other than a little nausea I don't have any other symptoms of UTI, no burning or anything and I have started taking the AZO cranberry w/probiotic today.

  • My toddler likes to play with my 5lb hand weights, should I be concerned?

    My 19mo old likes to play with my new 5lb hand weights. He seems fine with it... he likes to schlep them one at a time from one part of the room to another and clunk them down so they make noise on the floor. I just want to be sure he's not going to hurt himself by doing this. What do you think?

    Oh, and I keep them on the floor because obviously they would do more damage if they fell on anyone, and do not want that to happen! :)

  • Mirena, 3 negative tests, no period, some symptoms of pregnancy?

    I have taken 3 tests in the past week, have another to take this weekend if still nothing. Here are my symptoms:

    Very tired, more hunger than usual, slight nausea, increased gas and gas pain, no period (nearly 2 weeks late), extra thirsty all day, strange or sudden cravings for things I don't eat or rarely eat.

    These are all things I experienced when pregnant with both my kids! Yet all 3 tests are negative. I checked the "strings" and they seem fine.

    My thought is to call the doctor for an appt, but I wanted to try and find out if this has happened to anyone else and what it turned out to be for you?

  • Possible pregnancy with the Mirena?

    I have had the Mirena in since Nov 2006... yet I still get my period fairly regularly.

    This cycle I had weird little spotting at the 2 week mark and at the 3 week mark, then nothing since.... and this coming Sunday will be 5 weeks. I tested Wednesday and it was negative, figure on testing again first thing in the morning.

    It's likely just the hormones playing with my cycle, but I am a little concerned. Another baby right now probably is not the best thing, though I would always welcome another blessing if it is meant to be...

    Should I call the doctor? Keep testing every few days? Just be patient?
