I raise and show cattle. I have been showing them for 8 years now. I love animals and want to become a veterinarian.

  • What Could These Bumps Be (On Wrists/Hands)?

So, about 2 weeks ago, I woke up with 3 little bumps. 2 on my left forearm and 1 on the right. They looked almost like pimples. The tops of them seemed to have pus inside (the top was yellowish). At first, I thought they may have been a spider bite, but it didn't seem likely with 3 different spots and no pain, etc. I left them alone since I didn't know what they were. They gradually started to heal over a few days and turned into scabs. Now the scabs are gone and there are circular scar-like marks where these pimple-like bumps were.

Now, since about a week ago, I have had some small bumps around wrist and on my hand/fingers. They aren't skin colored, but a little pink. They do NOT itch at all. They are mostly on the left wrist/hand, but I have seen a few on the right as well. Right now, there is probably close to 20 of them. They don't seem to be going away at all, but some days there are 1 or 2 more. They don't seem to be filled with anything, however, if you look VERY closely, some of them have a TINY black dot in the center.

Also, on my left wrist there is now a red bump that is bigger than the rest and it sometimes itches. I noticed it a few days ago. When I first noticed it, it was a flat red dot with a little pink around it. It is no longer flat and the red in the center is gone. All of it it is now a raised bump. I'm not sure if it is related to the other bumps or not.

Nothing in my diet has changed and my clothes are washed with the same detergent, so I don't think it's an allergy.

What could these be? These don't sound like psoriasis, eczema, or any other skin condition that I have read about. None of the info I've seen online seems to fit these bumps.

I can try to get pictures if they would help.

  • Shoulder "Clunks", Clicks, and Pops?

I have had a problem with my shoulder for a while now. The major problem is that if I raise my arm up with my elbow bent and move my shoulder to the right, it "clunks". It kind of feels like it "catches" before it "clunks". People can see it do this from across a table from me and can feel it with with their hand on my shoulder. Sometimes it will click at the same time. Also, if I put my hand behind my back and push my shoulder up, it pops.

I do not have any pain in my shoulder. It does sometimes feel tired and weak after certain activities.

I am planning on going to the doctor, but would like to know what the problem could be. I am thinking it could be a labral tear.

Any thoughts on what it could be?

  • How Often Do I Need Tetanus Shots?

I have heard that you're supposed to get Tetanus shots every 10 years. It's been 6 years since I've had one, but I'm also around cattle and barbed wire fences on a daily basis. I have heard that if you are around cattle/livestock that you need them more often, or that it's more important that you get them.

I didn't get a Tetanus shot when I had road rash all over my back and a cut in my finger after being dragged across a field by a cow. I also didn't get one after having my thumb crushed in a trailer.

Should I have gotten one then? Do I really need them more often than every 10 years?

  • Is Not Drinking Water Bad?

I know that pretty much everywhere you look or whoever you ask will say you're supposed to drink 8 glasses of water a day, but I don't drink any water at all. I just don't like it. I do drink some water during the summer, but I prefer Powerade or something else. Is is really that bad to not drink water? I do drink juice and milk. Does drinking juice, tea, Powerade count as drinking water, since it has water in it?

  • Grey Mark On Neck For 5 Months?

I have a grey mark on the part of my neck that dips in. It looks sort of like a bruise, but is grey, not blue, purple, or yellow at all. It is NOT a hickey, vein, mark from a marker, etc. I first noticed it in the middle of September last year. It has not gone away. Some days it is less noticeable and other days it is darker.

Any idea what it could be?

  • Anyone Tried Cow Chip Cookies? Know of A Similar Recipe?

There's a bakery in Seattle that makes Cow Chip Cookies. They come in different sizes, calf, cow, bull, the herd, etc. We usually get them at a fair we go to, but that isn't until September and I have a craving for them now.

Has anyone tried them and know of a similar recipe?

(They are not the "Cow Chip Cookies" with oatmeal and peanut butter)

  • What Body Shape Am I?

I have a defined waist and what I would describe as big hips, I also have broad shoulders (about the same as my hips). This makes me think I would be an hourglass, BUT I have a small bust, and the description for an hourglass figure says they have a larger bust.

What shape am I? And what type of clothes would be figure flattering?

  • Telling Ortho About Not Wearing Retainers?

I have an orthodontist appointment coming up, and I'm supposed to have been wearing my retainers 24/7 since I last saw my ortho. The only problem is, I haven't been wearing them.

I have both top and bottom retainers and absolutely hate them. They are the acrylic ones and the top one covers the whole roof of my mouth. I don't mind the bottom one so much, but the top one makes me lisp and is just plain uncomfortable.

How can I tell my orthodontist about it? He always asks if I've been wearing them and I tell him yes, but I'm sure he knows I haven't.

Are there more comfortable ones that you would recommend?

  • How Much Does TV Cost On An AT&T Phone?

I have unlimited Internet and texting on my phone, and I thought the guy said we would be able to watch TV, too. When I go to the TV icon, it says I'm not subscribed. I was going to click on the subscribe thing, but I don't want it to start adding to my bill.

Does anyone know how much it costs, or if I am subscribed and how to start watching TV if so?

  • I Need Some Cow Names?

We show cattle and I'm always trying to find the "perfect" names for them. I really like using 2 names instead of just one.

I can think of lots of names for heifers (Stella, Stella Rose, Trinity, Olivia, Cora, Scarlet Rose, Vanity Fair, Lady Lin, etc), but it's the bulls that I have trouble naming. Two of my favorite bull names from my list are Thunder Struck and Troubador.

I need some more good bull names, I'm also open to suggestions on heifer names.

For bulls, I like names that are bold and stand out, not the really common names.

(No names like Bessie, T-Bone, etc, please.)

  • Human Colostrum Supplement- Suitable For Calves?

I have seen where you can buy colostrum supplements (powder, liquid, or capsules) for human consumption. I know you can buy specific colostrum replacers for calves, but if you don't have any on hand, would one of these powders or liquids be suitable for calves?

Note: They are made from bovine colostrum. I am thinking they would be suitable, but not sure

  • Makeup Suggestions/Tips?

I don't normally wear makeup, but it would be nice to once in a while. I don't really know what would look best on me, I want it to look natural though.

I have blond hair, blue eyes, and medium to olive skin. I don't like how mascara looks on me, but if you know of a really great one, I may try it.

Suggestions would be appreciated, hair tips would help too.

  • Good Book Suggestions?

I need some book suggestions. I read and liked the Twilight books and A Great and Terrible Beauty. I am reading the Kissed by an Angel Trilogy now, and really like it.

I like mystery and suspense, and a little romance. I don't really like science fiction or historical fiction.

    Any suggestions on books?

  • Need A Good Calf Name?

We just had a heifer calf born on Friday. Then, on Saturday, one of our show calves died. Some people think I should name her after the calf that died, but I don't want to use the exact same name.

The calf was a surprise, because the mom wasn't supposed to be bred. She was also the first heifer we've had from her dad, and was born by C-Section.

Her mom's name is Tami, her dad's is Legacy, and the calf that died was Aaleyah.

Meaningful names only, please. NO names like Moo, T-Bone, etc.

  • Good Names For Show Cattle?

What names do you guys think would be good for show cattle? They need to be a little more "fancy" than just cows in the field, more like show horses.

Some names I like for heifers are: Miss Unity, Stella Rose, Vanity Fair, Lady Lin and Scarlet Letter.

For bulls, I like: Deja Vu, Remmington, Octavias, Stetson, Sudden Impulse, Laredo, and Flashback.

Thoughts on these names and other name suggestions would be great!

  • Severe abdominal pain?

Sometimes I get attacks that make my stomach hurt. Every time it has happened, it's been at night. The last time, it started in the middle, right between the bottom of my ribs. After awhile, it moved lower and to the left a little. It was so bad I got a little nauseous, hot and sweaty. I tried to walk to help, but it made it worse. Just taking a step hurt. I tried 3 doses of Pepto Bismol and it didn't help at all.

It has happened a few times, but the last was the worst.

One of the times, I thought it was because I hadn't eaten for awhile. I ate, but it didn't help.
