I read the vampire diaries books before the show came out and for the books i was 100% team stefan because he was basically the obvious choice. I never hated Damon or anything but he was never my choice for Elena.

When the show first came out I didn't like it because of how different it was from the books so i stopped watching after the first two or three episodes as did both of my sisters who also read the books.

Now my oldest sister started watching the show again on netflix from season one and is totally obsessed with it. She told me to watch it so i finally decided i would a couple of weeks ago. And now i am officially obsessed. I have watched season one, two, and three and have already watched up to season 4 episode 4 (where the show is currently airing).

For the show i am definitely team Damon. There are all these people saying Stefan is the right choice because he loves her so much and blah blah blah. I'm not disagreeing or anything about their love. They obviously love each other but i think that Damon brings out the best in her just as she does for him.

Damon accepts her for whatever she is. He will always be there to help her and try to steer her in the right direction. He doesn't always let her do exactly what she wants and a lot of times it is a good thing. Stefan always listens to everything she says even if it is completely wrong and he knows it.

Elena also brings out the best is Damon. Without her he is much more cold and careless but when he is with her he has more compassion but it still mixes with his seriousness which makes him able to love and care for people but also realize when he has to kill someone that he can't let his emotions take over.

Damon brings out the best in Elena because when they are together she is completely relaxed and she doesn't feel bad having fun or enjoying herself (when she human and when she is a vampire). Yet because he still has his seriousness he knows when the times is for fun and when the time is to be real. He doesn't expect her to be a perfect person (or vampire now) and understands everything about her.

When she became a vampire Damon understood that she needed human blood and that she couldn't survive the way Stefan wanted her to. Stefan wanted to immediately do everything that would prevent her from hurting anyone but that is the wrong choice. How can she choose the way she wants to live when everyone is telling her whats right and what wrong.

And i am just going to put out that i don't like how Caroline and Bonnie are so mean to Damon and always accusing him of doing the wrong thing. When it comes down to it he is the one that will look at things from a realistic point of view and figure out what the outcomes will be and what the best choice of actions are.

His whole life has been filled with heart break i can't even blame him for the way he was. People hate him the second he does anything wrong and they never fully forgive him. when Stefan went crazy people forgave him almost right away never thinking twice.

Sorry this was probably just a crazy rant about my opinion.

And i just want to clarify that i don't hate Caroline or Bonnie I just don't like how they have no respect for Damon at all when he has helped them all so much throughout everything. Even though his methods aren't all hugs and smiles he probably wouldn't let them die is he saw them down. of course he would always save Elena first he would most likely go back to help save them.

so i have started an obsession with anime/manga. I have watched all of naruto and naruto shippuden and i have read all the manga (up to where it is...obviously), i have read all the chobits books, watched fruits basket (hopefully will read the manga when i get the chance to borrow them from a friend soon), watched and read the host club, watched vampire knight, saw a couple episodes of bleach and one piece but they didn't really draw me in.

so i will take and recommendations. I would prefer things that have been made into an anime because i hate reading manga online and it is hard for me to get to the books since i never go to the library and i don't really have the money to go and buy a whole bunch of books. As you can see i love romance stuff and i also like some action (at the moment i only actiony type thing i like is naruto)

I cannot use the lock and key because my teacher told us that one as an example so we could understand what she wanted so any help? I thought of a usb being plugged into a computer but i don't really like that one. I have also thought of plugging my iphone into the charger but i don't really think that is an analogy. HELP PLEASE !! It is due tomorrow and it was just assigned today so no i haven't just been putting it off.

I just bought two saddle pads. One is an all purpose saddle pad and one is a jumping saddle pad. Is it a problem to jump in an all purpose saddle pad? At the moment i only do small cross rails but obviously in the future i will move on to higher jumps. I think it should be fine since it is called an all purpose pad but just figured i would check with the experts:)

A few questions about saddle pads since i will be getting my first one today. should i wash it before i use it with my horse? can it washed with my clothes? and do you know the brand LETTIA? if so is it any good?

Alright so my trainer has a friend that is selling her saddle. the saddle was barely used (you can tell because the condition is amazing and it is basically brand new). It has an adjustable gullet so i will be able to use it for any size horse. This saddle is also just a good saddle in general (not a cheapy $100 or $200 dollar one that will break in a year or two). I have ridden in it twice and i think it is really comfortable. It fits be perfectly but the thing is it does not have a deep seat. Now i personally don't mind that the seat is more level but i do understand that if the horse spooks and i loose my seat this saddle won't really help keep me on the horse and i will most likely fall off. I don't really mind that, even though i don't like falling off i think this saddle will help me get amazing balance.

I know that is a random site but if you scroll down a bit there is a thing about saddles getting bigger and the saddle they have for the picture doesn't have a big seat so you can see what i mean. Now that is obviously not the saddle i am looking at so it has a different build but you get the jist.

Now no one is pressuring me into buying it. My trainer said i can ride in it for a few more lessons so i can decide if i want a saddle with a deeper seat or if i like this one. I am really not worried about finding a different saddle with a deeper seat.

Now i know i can't expect you to know the answer but what are your opinions about saddles with deeper seats and saddles with a more level seat. The regular lessons saddle that i ride in has a deeper seat so i do know what the difference is and now i am just rambling on.

I love the anime (i am on episode 176 of shippuden) and i really want to read the manga. the thing is I don't have money to waste on buying manga books as i am trying to save up for a saddle for horseback riding which is pretty pricey.

So do you know any sites where i can read the manga for free. Thanks in advance:)

I would prefer if they were suede but i don't mind if they aren't. I don't want them to be super cheap but i really can't afford to buy anything over $45. I know that isn't a lot but my parents (I am only 14) have agreed to buying me a saddle (a used one so it is cheaper but it is still a saddle:P) and i really need new half chaps because (this is going to be gross) my cat enjoys peeing on mine since they have the scent of the barn cat on them.

So reasonable pair of black suede half chaps please??

They don't have to be suede but that is what i prefer. And it would be great if the were $40 or less. thanks:)

Just curious what makes a horse have good or bad conformation.

First off this is a serious question. I have two dogs. One is 5 and the other is only 10 months old. We have just recently found out that he has hip dysplasia. Since he is still young there are surgeries that might help him but none of them are 100%. Now my 5 year old has become really attached to this dog and so has my whole family. Now if he comes to the point where he is going to need lots of care my family just wouldn't be able to do that. I am only in high school and so is my other sister and my other sister is in college and my mom and dad work. If it comes to the point where we might have to put him down (i am hoping that we don't because it just makes me cry to even think about it) how would we tell the other dog. When we brought out 10 month old to the vet the other day (he was there for the day so they could do blood work) my other dog sat outside by our fence when my mom came home to wait for our dog and she was acting sad and very un energetic when he wasn't home. When he came home later she was happy and acting like her old self again.

So how would we tell her? She wouldn't understand him just leaving and then never coming back to the house.

So basically i am thinking about entering the pleasure model at a schooling show held at my barn and just wondering what the judges will, in general ask you to do.

I know it is judged on your horses conformation and their movement but it is also judged on how the person presents themselves (even though it isn't supposed to be the judge still looks to make sure the person is presenting themselves nicely).

So just any tips and in general what the judge asks you to do.

I think i might do it at the next show i am going to do and i was just wondering how it works and what you do?

I understand that it is all about the horse and their conformation and how they move. But just in general what does the judge ask you to do. I know you would probably start by everyone just walking their horse around the ring and i know that their is a part where you and your horse trot down the long side of the ring and that you shouldn't look at your horse and just keep running and clicking until your horse trots.

So basically what do you do in a pleasure model and any other tips about it would be great! thanks in advance!

walk. trot, canter and jump? I am not here to brag about how amazing i am this is a honest question. Today at camp Everyone was going around saying how long they had ridden (this camp is at my barn and i am in the advanced one, and my trainer told me to sign up for this one and she is the one running it). Every one is younger then me ( i am going into ninth grade and the other week of advanced camp when all the older kids went i couldn't because i was away) anywayy. Most of the kids said since they were 5 or 6 and when they asked me i said since september and they were all so shocked even the girl that was there who has lived on a farm her whole life and she is a senior in High school.

I can walk and trot confidently and have just become really good at cantering (good transitions and form and i can jump a foot and a half, i know that isn't very high though)

My trainer doesn't push anyone beyond what she thinks they can do or are capable of at the moment . If she saw a kid that had been riding for a year but had a terrible seat she wouldn't have them cantering. Once lesson we only did walk trot just to work on my form because she decided it was better to focus the hour on my form then worrying about cantering or jumping.

Like i said before i am not here to brag that i am an amazing rider or to ask what level i am, i know where i stand with my riding but i am curious if you think that it is odd that i can do this all and if it sounds really fast for someone who hasn't ridden that long.

Since most of the kids there all started when they were younger i doubt that they were full out cantering and jumping after a year of riding because when you are that young it is difficult enough to control the horse then let alone actually ride so i understand how they could think that but what do you think?

Sorry but i think i repeated myself about a million times but i think you get the question:P

I use a crop for my lease horse (he is also a lesson horse at my barn). I can get him moving without one but if it is a day where he is lazy and just doesn't want to work he can be a real pain in the A** but refusing to walk forward he won't pick up a faster trot, he will trot like he is a western pleasure horse.

ANyway today i was showing my friend the crop i got from camp and she said it was abuse. I said it wasn't and she asked if i would hit my dog with it. My dog weighs 45-50 pounds so i told her that and that my horse (he is about 16.2 hands) probably weighs 1200+ pounds. She just shook her head and walked away saying it is abuse.

Now we are teenagers and we do bicker a lot so i know she was just doing that last part to get under my skin which she successfully did. But my question is do you think it is abuse?

I don't smack him constantly i actually only use it as a last resort. I also use it to get him to canter because sometimes he will just start running because he doesn't feel like cantering but then once he starts cantering he never wants to stop so i don't understand why he gives me trouble but he does. My trainer and another trainer at my barn ride him and they use spurs (not sharp ones) but i don't use those i just use a crop.

So i know people put these questions up all the time but i just feel really embarrassed about the dramatic difference between my first schooling show and my second.

First off these shows are held at my barn and there are always other people from other barns there showing also and at each show there is a different judge.

Anyway at my first show i did really well. I placed in all of my classes out of 12 or 13 people and even got reserve champ which is really impressive for someone who hasn't even been riding for a year and that was my first show. But in my second show i only got one forth place ribbon and didn't place in any of my other classes. They were the same classes as last time all walk trot. One was equitation, pleasure, and the third one was we had to each do a figure eight.

This time i was riding in a new saddle that my barn just got (it is really comfy but it did take a while to get used to it) and my lease horse (he is a lesson horse at my barn) just wasn't being cooperative. He kept cutting corners even though i was putting a lot of pressure with my inside leg, when i asked him for a faster trot he just went so fast i was passing everyone in the ring and when i asked him to slow down he would go to a western pleasure trot where it was so difficult for me to post. This was definitely a bad ride for me also so i am not blaming it all on him i was also more nervous because my family was there so maybe he was picking up on me being nervous and that was making him be like that.

I just feel super embarrassed. Everyone at my barn is super nice so there isn't anyone making fun of me or anything but i just did so well at the first show and then at this show i did awful. I will be doing another show next month and i don't think my family will be coming so that will take the pressure off a little bit but i am just really worried that i have worked myself up so much that i will be nervous again and my horse will pick up on it. Any tips?

And it isn't that my family pressures me to win, they could care less (they obviously are happy when i do better but they don't yell at me or put me down about not doing as well) i think it was just because i wanted to do amazing with them there and i wanted to get grand champ.

I am going to be a freshman this year but i am looking for camps for next year when i would be going to be a 10 grader. I went to a camp at university of maryland just for education (it was super fun even though we had to go to class a couple hours a day). So i was wondering if anyone knew of any camps that were kind of like college.

So what i mean is i don't want to go to a camp where we ride and then we do crafts i want to have freedom and be able to be a bit independent. I know this would be hard to come across but if you know of any (preferably in the east coast) that would be great:)

And my barn does have camps which i go to but i am looking for over night stuff.

I ride english and i know that when you post you should stand up with the outside leg and be sitting when the inside leg is forward and i have that down pat so no issues there. But when i was first learning my diagonals my trainer said it just helped the rider and the horse stay balanced.

I was just curious how it helps you stay balanced?
