  • Does Geico give a check for a insurance claim?

    I filed a insurance claim last week for damaged to my car. I have a loan on my car so agent said I can't be given a check directly that it has to go straight to the body shop. I know people who have gotten a direct check issued to them with a loan on their car. How come I can't just get a check instead of Geico paying company directly?
