  • Why is my hair so dry no matter what I do?

I have fine textured hair. It’s been bleached in the past and I used to use color ALL the time but for the past four months I haven’t used any sulfates or used any heat or color, I’ve been taking vitamins, using quality hair products without silicones, sleeping on a silk pillowcase, eating healthy, exercising, drinking nothing but water, using leave in conditioners and hair masks/creams with a balance of protein, moisture and olaplex treatments and I’ve been oiling my hair before I wash it but I’m careful not to overdo it with the protein and coconut oil.  I’ve also been careful to trim my hair and keep up with the dead ends so I can maintain the quality. The only hair sins I could possibly be committing is possibly causing breakage whenever I pull my straw-like hair apart to make braids. I only detangle with a wide tooth comb and use my wet brush sparingly and only with a hair cream. Other than that I don’t even brush my hair because it’s so dry. The first day after washing it’s kind of fluffy but relatively soft and manageable. On day two or three the hair closest to my scalp becomes oily as expected but the ends get very dry even when applying aloe or hair oil. It seams to not make a dent. Is my hair so porous that it sucks everything up and doesn’t use it or is the opposite and that my hair is too stubborn to actually retain moisture. Maybe it’s the wind and the sun? But how could that alone cause my hair to be so crazy.I maybe spend no more than an hour outside maximum..
