  • Is it bad to under-supply your GPU?

I have a Radeon R9 270. My power supply is 500 Watts, which is exactly what is recommended for the card. The only issue is, my supply didn't come with a 6 pin connector, so I can't attach it to the card. Would temporarily using a 450 watt power supply which DOES have a 6 pin do any damage?

It's only 50 watts less, and it might be only for a week. Would it do any damage in the time? Would it not work? Would it be fine?
