*Please E-Mail Me Before Adding, Include Why You'd Like To Add Me As Well As Who You Are. If No E-Mail Is Recieved, You Will Be Blocked. Sorry!* Hi, I'm Carter, and I am a girl. I just turned 16, and I value my knowledge. Typically, with that being said, I can't stand people with no common sense. I wish to become a Bernese Mountain Dog Breeder, I am already working on titles for my Berner and am researching a LOT by Breed Clubs, Mentors, etc... I.. ~Am 1oo% against PETA, HSUS, BYB, Puppy Mills, Brokers, BSL, Pet Stores. ~Am pro-choice [[for abortions, +else]]. ~Am not a fan of No Kill Shelters! ~Am against Mandatory S/N. ~Know how to use grammar, and unlike a handful of teens out there, I have a job. In fact, I have TWO. Bernese Mountain Dog- Piper [Kennel Name- Cascadia Lyrix]. *Recent Titles = OTCH, UDX, CGC, BDD, VCCH* American Pit Bull Terrier- Emery *CGC* Mudi- Taco Mutt- Celeste

  • Dog Popularity Status: Good/Bad, Lies/Truth, Stereotypes?

It is nearly 1am, so i suppose this can be one of those stupid questions that my mind just ran acrossed at this late hour, but anyways.. I was thinking about how Labs and other breeds got their popularity and if you think it's such a good or bad thing. If a breed's popularity is based on lies or honesty..

Like the stereotype for the Lab is basically the "best dog ever"...

And the stereotype for the Pit is the "most dangerous dog"...

NOTE*** This is JUST for people BELIEVEING these stereotypes and IF a person who believed this came acrossed these, THIS MIGHT HAPPEN. It is JUST an example!

1st one attracts, um, let's call them, better people, but they don't expect what Labs can do or what they're actually like [not in a bad way, they just go with stereotypes which regardless if they're good or bad, they're nearly always NOT helpful] because what they saw or heard [take the 1o1 Dal montrage for an example] so the Lab perhaps might end up in a shelter, dead, or unstable tempered...

2nd one usually attracts people who are looking for dogs to fight which means dead dogs, unstable dogs, and more and more BYB...

So that's how i think dogs get their popularity, registration numbers aside...

Stereotypes and based on lies.. how about yourself?

LG- Why did you get your dog? Honestly.

  • If any reputable kennel club ever recognizes designer dogs as breeds...?

    Hypothetical.

What are you going to do?

And will you call the designer dogs purebreds since they're recognized, or keep calling them mutts?

This was kind of in my mind today.

  • DS: Would YOU vote YES or NO on PROP B?

My local state is having a law trying to be passed. It's called Prop B, and it's about Puppy Mills. Please take your time to read this link, it's really the only one I could find that wasn't biased-

What do you think of this law? What would you vote and WHY?

  • DS: Your opinion on these "designer" NAMES?

I know we've lately heard a lot about designer names. It's rediciulous, but what do you think of it? I honestly can careless, as long as they know their dog isn't a special breed and they know it's a mix- I have no problem with it. How about you? I've just been curious I suppose, since a lot of flames have being going up. I admit it's stupid, and we should just call it a mutt or a -breed- x -breed- et cetera, but you know some people just love those super lame names! ;)

  • Dog Section! What do you think of Field Labs?

Yes, let's take a twist off of the, "What do you think of Pit Bull?" questions! I hear a lot of debate about Field Labs. Some say they're poorly bred Labs that have zero potential for work or showing, and some say otherwise. No right or wrong answer here, just wondering what your opinion is and if you can back it up with a reliable resource that'd be great! Also if you could star that'd be awesome too, I am very anxious to hear people's opinions.

Best Answer will be chosen by Votes, I do NOT pick Best Answer for opinion-orientated questions.

That being said, let's have a fun Q!!

Post a picture of a well-bred version of your breed, and a poorly bred version.

& If you own that breed, post a pic of your dog!! :)

    Have a good night everyone!

  • Dog Show Screw Up? [20 char]?

Piper was stacking about a few days ago, and she was getting examined. The judge has always been sort of iffy towards me, but he's still a good guy. During her stack and his examine he was feeling her neck, chest and muzzle area. It just recently dawned on me that Piper has never biten, or acted out at all. But while she was getting examined on the Neck I think he irritated her somehow, and she freaked out for no reason [She did NOT bite though]. She has never done that, they were nice enough to excuse her but I was wondering if there's anything to do? I am sure if I bring it up to the people at the Show, they'll take the judge's side and I don't have any true proof that he did irritate or hurt her except with what I saw which sadly can't be replayed on a screen to show. What do you think caused her to act out like that? Basically she jumped back as if she was freightened and did a tiny yelp that only if you were close-up you'd be able to hear.
