if you don't have a sim card for your phone will I still beable to add contacts, take pictures, etc? or will having a sim card not save it to my phone?

So i'm interested in buying the iphone 4 from a seller and in the discription it say's "iPhone 4 white 8gb unlocked with warranty until October 2012.

Brand new replacement handset unlocked comes with sim opener and usb cable as pictured. There is no box.

Original protectors on screen, no marks, not used." why does it say "new replacement"?

So I saw someone with this Ipod, It's got the shiny silver backing, pretty big in terms of length and thick, the front is plain white and the control panel isn't flat against the front. I've tried looking for pictures and browsing on amazon but I can't seem to find the name of it! Does anyone have one or know what they are called?

I brought a new Ipod back in January and a few hours ago it just died, I've tried everything and been on loads of sites, the best thing I can do is go to the Apple shop but I'm pretty sure I don't have a warranty and I think it just needs a new battery seen as I've never dropped it, will not having a warranty matter? and does anyone know how much this would cost?

is there anything i can do, my ipod just suddenly went dead, i tryed plugging it into itunes and charging it but nothing happens, i also tried holding down the centre button for ages, still nothing. I don't have a Warranty because i didn't buy it from apple. if i go to the apple store will they be able to give it a new battery or something? if so does anyone know how much it will cost?

I really want to get my first ear stretcher but i don't know what I need to do, I know a place that sells them but will they re-pierce my ear? and how much do they usually cost in £.
