  • Good low cost barber in the downtown area of Austin Texas?

I've just moved downtown in Austin, Texas, and I've gotten rid of my car. I'm looking for a barber that I can walk to in the downtown area. I willing to walk a fair piece so it doesn't have to be right in the middle of downtown for me to consider it.

I'm a simple guy and just want a haircut. I don't need a shoulder rub, or shampoo, or some fancy stylish haircut, or to network or socialize, or anything else. I just want to go in, get a normal haircut, and leave.

I have gone mainly to Supercuts and Sport Clips in the past and those both worked fine for me. I'm looking for a barber in that price range - basically a haircut in the $15 range. Obviously something cheaper is fine, and If it happens to be a bit more pricey but is a really good haircut, I would consider paying a little more if there are no lower priced alternatives.

I've been looking around on line but I haven't found anything that really popped for me. Does anyone have any recommendations?

  • Why would a network mask be set to 255.255.255.10 instead of 255.255.255.0?

I have the following being set up on a laptop automatically when connecting to the wireless router:

    IP Address 192.168.0.100

    Gateway/Router 192.168.0.1

    Network Mask 255.255.255.10

What does this particular network mask value do? I usually see the network mask set to 255.255.255.0. What reason would there be for the network mask to be set to this value?
