Do you really think The Matrix was a transgender allegory?
I recently read an article where the Wachowski sister said the Matrix was a transgender allegory and the article even dragged poor Keanu into it to comment. First off, there is zero homosexuality in the movies. When these were made, it was the Wachowski BROTHERS.. obviously they took the blue pill, because I think the only reason they are saying this movie is a TS allegory is because they see #redpill trending on twitter and FB and want to push away conservative minds.
Is there anyone else who thinks this is total BS? Let's face it, EVERY RELATIONSHIP in the Matrix is HETEROSEXUAL!
Growing up as a kid, this movie fascinated me from a hacker standpoint.. probably one of the only movies to actually use a real tool like nmap on screen. 20 years later, In today's world, it represents the deep state, a system of control organized to keep us asleep. But somehow, after two decades, now it represents sexual transformation, wtf?
Other - Cultures & Groups8 months agoDo you believe the traits of an organ donor can pass on to their recipient? ?
I have heard stories of people who have had organ transplants that seem to develop traits or hobbies that the original donors may have had in their past life. The deeper question I have is that if our bodies are able to accept another person's DNA via an organ. Then, would you consider a blood transfusion to be the same? The FDA has recently approved a plasma therapy for COVID-19, wouldn't this also be similar to a blood transfusion?
If I was to take an even deeper dive and suggest that stem cells or cells used for vaccination, wouldn't they also contain DNA from the original donor? I guess I am just trying to understand at what point does this theory of adopting traits from a donor end? Serious responses only please!
1 AnswerBiology8 months agoHow can I get a mortgage lender to release a lien on a property if the lender has bankrupt and no longer exists?
I'm trying to get a home equity loan, but the credit union tells me there is some old lien on my house. The loans on my house have been paid off for years. But apparently, the loan company sold my loan to another lender and the servicing agent tells me that lender never sent a release?
The lender is now bankrupt (since 2011) and all attempts to contact have failed. The loan was sold multiple times, but I have paid this loan in full years ago. Surely there has to be a way I can fill out a form or make a request that this lien be removed, the lender no longer exists! I live in NC, so any help anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if each state has different laws/process.
I also don't understand why, considering I have proof that this loan is paid, and the lender is non-existent, why isn't this being ignored? What is the process to clean this up? I have waited over a month and the servicing agent continue to tells me they are "working on it", if I can't get in contact with this lender, then how can they. I can't afford to sit around and wait a year for someone to send me a simple release form. I bet if the city wanted this house, it would be cleaned up next day. HELP!!
4 AnswersRenting & Real Estate4 years agoWhy are we so worried about refugees when our own country needs immediate help?
Most of the big cities have huge drug/crime problems, and poverty issues.
Homeless people constantly asking for money, but apparently.. The government has enough money to build a Syrian refugee a brand new home. Probably give them food stamps, welfare, all of that good stuff. Meanwhile, real citizens still suffer. Shouldn't we clean up our country first before we pile more people on top of the problem? What has the mexican influence given you? drugs, gangs, violence. What will Syrians give you? Take a look at where people come from. Take a look at what "they" have done to their own country and you will see what they will do to yours.
1 AnswerPolitics4 years agoWhy does YouTube shut down accounts and take down videos when they infringe on someone's copyright?
It makes no sense to me, why can't they just add an advertisement? Will the artist or lame record company still not get their money? There are plenty of videos on youtube with ads. It would be more profitable for the artists and youtube if they would leave the videos online with ads. If I want to remix a song or try and get my name and work displayed somewhere, I guess I'm just SOL until I find some superstar artists to piggy back on.
4 AnswersYouTube5 years agoHow can I make a gel like material that is soft like jello but doesn't fall apart?
I want to make molds of something the size of a brain or human head and it needs to be jelly like, so if I poke it then it jiggles, but at the same time if cannot fall apart.
I have seen some tutorials on ballistic gel but that looks too hard, rock solid, I need it to be like a gummy bear only the size of a brain. Some tutorials used cornstarch but these all make more of a putty, it's VERY important that it reacts to touch, so putty or some other lifeless material will not work.
I also do not want anything toxic, so please non-toxic, not trying to break out gloves or masks so whatever you suggest needs to be safe to handle afterwards.
ideas?
2 AnswersSculpture5 years agoHow long will Earth's atmosphere last?
Would human intervention or any type of external factors cause our atmosphere to fade away? If yes, please describe how this would happen, would it be slow or quick? I think it's obvious Earth will eventually die regardless, but I'm just curious what would happen if we started to lose our atmosphere .
1 AnswerAstronomy & Space6 years agoWhat happen to the days of "Put the weapon down"?
Growing up in the late 80's/90's, I seen plenty of violence and listened to rap music that glorified murder, seen the LA riots, and plenty of racism.
Yet, it seemed that cops would never shoot just to make you stop. Even if you had a gun, you were always asked to "Put the weapon down". Officers would only fire IF you pointed the weapon at them and THEN disobeyed their commands to put it down.
What gives officers the right in this day and age to shoot someone and take their life just because they are running or trying to avoid jail time over a drug offense or expired license. These crimes do not warrant loss of life.
I remember they use to talk about "non-lethal" shots to the arms or leg, so why do you need to empty your clip into someone. You should be proficient enough with your weapon to take down a suspect with 1 or 2 shots to non-lethal areas.
Cops use to be more hands on, wrestling with a suspect, now it's more shoot first, ask later.
8 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police6 years agoWhat's the best way to meet a girl?
Just got recently single again, another hopeless relationship, I just can't seem to find a girl that shares the same interests as me.
What are your experiences with dating sites or meeting girls? What's the best way for me to find my true love?
2 AnswersSingles & Dating6 years agoWhat is the best water to make tea with?
I want to stop using my tap water for tea. I have tried using distilled water, but didn't turn out good. I hear that bottled water is the best, but I have no idea what to get. I bought some Diamond Creek water but I think the PH is too high on that for tea. Should I try Nestle Pure Life or what is your recommendation?
6 AnswersNon-Alcoholic Drinks6 years agoHow fast/far would you need to travel in space for 10 years to pass on earth and create the twin paradox?
So I'm not a physicist but I'm trying to understand space/time/speed/gravity, how all these things work together to bend time.
If I was to leave earth and was travelling at "near" the speed of light, exactly how far would I need to travel for 10 years, 20 years, or a million years to pass on Earth? And exactly how old would the space traveler be? Would they remain the same age?
If I traveled 10 light years away and traveled 10 light years back, would I not have aged 20 years?
I would think being inside the space ship, time and age would still keep going?
