  • My Toddler has the worst bad breath - Help?

My 3 yr old has breath that smells like a dog breath - and before the rude comments come out, I do not feed my son dog food and he is not a puppy. I am going to call his doctor in the morning because, as an experienced mother, I know this is nothing urgent and he does not need to be rushed to the ER. I was just wondering if anyone else has had a child with this?

  • My daughter will be 6 tomorrow - this makes me sad?

My daughter will be 6 tomorrow. This makes me really sad. I think it is worse that her older brother will be 18 in 2 weeks. I don't wish to have a baby again, my youngest is 3 and I am really looking forward to my children growing up. It is just happening way too fast. What milestones or birthdays made you sad? or maybe not sad but made you see how fast it was going?

I keep seeing questions and answers that refer to tartism and I just don't know what that means - I sure would hate to be promoting tartism with my kids - if it is bad that is. HELP!!

  • I need help figuring out the name of this silver company?

I picked up a silver butter dish about a year ago and I just got around to trying to see if it is worth cleaning up. I am having a hard time identifying the company - It says Valentine L***ley Silver - I can't find anything on the internet without the whole name, all I get is cheap necklaces for Valentines day.

Any help would be great - thanks

  • My neighbors are making my crazy?

It is not quite 10pm - my hubby and daughter are sick and sleeping - my upstairs neighbors are usually really quiet but for some reason tonight it sounds like they are moving furniture. They only have one daughter who is less then 2 so I think they forget about bed time for school age. At what time is it reasonable for me to go upstairs and politely ask then to please not scrape furniture on the floor? If my hubby wasn't so sick I would probably not even care since my kids sleep like rocks.

  • Ever had one of those days?

I was in class today when I got an email that my son was hurt, he is 2. Of course I forgot my phone today so I left class found a friend and called my hubby. He was just arriving at the ER when I called. I found another friend that was on campus to pick something up and he took me to the hospital.

My son had apparently dislocated his elbow (nursemaid's elbow) which is quite common among the 1 to 3 yr old age group. While waiting to see the doctor my hubby when down the hall to find my son a drink. My son followed, I thought my hubby had him - hubby thought I had him and we all panicked - he was found in radiology looking for daddy. They actually called for a hospital lock down but he was found in less then 2 minutes and they didn't actually have to lock anything up.

After spending God only knows how much to have the doctor bend his elbow and have it pop back in we went out to the car to find a van parked almost against our car and a huge scrape on the corner of our bumper. We called security, in the meantime the owner showed up and argued with us about whether or not she did it - HELLO??? there was a huge red scrape on our car. She even argued with the cop, and when that didn't work she pulled out "well, I don't think that was even the car that was parked there when I pulled in" Which is so funny since there is no way we could have even gotten our car in the spot the way she was parked. and did I mention that I just got my car back on Monday night after someone else had hit us?

While we are talking to the cop my hubby's phone rings - it is the restaurant he works at - he was manager on duty today but had to leave to take the little one in. The health inspector showed up....

HONESTLY??? do you ever have days like this - all of this and guess what??? I am so grateful that all is well. Our baby is fine, our car is just a car and the inspection went great.

I just wanted to know, how was your day?

  • Coming to American from Mexico?

I am looking for someone that can help us answer some questions about immigration from Mexico. My friend's husband was here illegally but went to immigration on his own to start the process to become legal. He has been told that he was not eligible for a waiver because he had returned to Mexico in 1998 and back to US in 1999. Since he entered illegally twice he can not even get an interview. He is a great guy with 3 kids (the youngest being 5 wk old twins.) If someone knows that the next step should be or anyway for him to appeal so he can come home legal, please let me know.

  • Is there anyway to report harassing emails?

I know that you can report persons who leave harassing or vulgar answers but can you report a someone who sends harassing emails? I just has someone send me two emails that were really awful...I hate to turn off the email feature because I enjoy talking to some fellow answerers.

  • Does anyone else find this funny??

I am wondering if anyone else gets a little chuckle when a first time parent starts telling everyone how there child will be??

    My favorites are:

    1. "My child will not act like that in public"

    2. "My child will be easier to potty train then that - I will be more on top of things"

    Or the best one...

    3. "In the book I read is says that you shouldn't do it that way"

I guess they will figure out sooner or later that children all have their own little personalities....but I just want to see if anyone else found this funny and if you have any others to add to the list or stories on the subject to share.

  • Would this bother anyone else?

I am not sure if I am over reacting a bit? I took my two children 2 and 5, to a local celebration which included a parade. My hubby had to work so we used the bus system to get home. I had the little one in the stroller till it was time to get on the bus then I took him out and but a backpack/leash on him so I could fold the stroller, carry the blanket and bag and hold my daugher's hand. While we were standing on the corner waiting for the bus a car load of girls were stopped at the light, I heard one yell - "Look, he is on a leash"...Then one of them stuck a camera out the window and took our picture. Then I heard comments about lazy parents. (HELLO - I am carrying a stroller, blanket, large bag and holding on to two children)

What bothered me the most was that she took our picture. I don't want pictures of my family in the hands for just anyone. If I had someone with me I would have ran over to the car and demanded the picture was deleted. Am I wrong to be upset about this?

  • Does anyone else get annoyed???

Does anyone else get annoyed when people seem to come to a question and just thumbs down everyone??? I know that in the great picture of things it really doesn't matter but when a person it trying to give some real advice or answer a question it just really gets on my nerves and with 3 kids I have very few nerves to spare.
