My Ex and i Broke up about a month ago. Went out 2 years in univ. i was her first of everything, but not vice versa. She called it off claiming the need to see if she could stand on 2 feet.

In that time we have seen each other my ex and i have made out once, fought, reconciled over the phone..slightly.

When we broke up i told her for her b-day i'd give her notes from a class i took

I told her i wouldn't call on her b-day, but on friday i did so only to be nice! She calls me today, (doesn't normally do this) and small chit chat, then asks a questions about a class' midterm i took and got an A in.

I give her very vague information about the test, but was polite. Hung up on amicable terms..

Does my ex really think i would send her my notes after her/i have both hooked up with other ppl?

AM I missing something??

She ended our two year relationship in early September citing she needed to know what it was like to be on her own 2 feet and be independent of me!

She has not called nor tried to get in touch with me, but i know she has been depressed lately. My roommate ran into her last night and told me she was very upset.

As i was walking home from the bar to home at 3 AM i see her take a guy home (the one i knew she had been hooking up with). He was not at the party she was at, so they must of met up or he came to it because of her.

I am not upset she hooked up with him, more so that i think we both have feelings for each other and this is happening.

2 questions

1. What did she REALLY mean when she said she wanted to be able to stand on her two feet and see if she was using me as a crutch?

2. Are we finished? if not should i even take her back?

Little Detail

started dating during 1st year of uni ended at the beginning of this year. She dumped me claiming her reason of needing to be able to stand on her own two feet. I believe that she was getting close to the age of 21 and freaked that she had been with only one guy!

I took the breakup pretty hard and have been extremely depressed at time. I have been hooking up and sleeping with quite a few women but of course i still have feelings for my ex.

I saw her at a party 2 weeks after the break up and we made out but i quickly left after that before it could escalate. I saw her for the 2nd time a month after we broke up.

I went into the party very nervous about what would happen tonight as it was a small apartment and i was bound to be around her.

She was right there when i came to the party and i gave her a nod and smile and proceeded to the birthday girl. Later and throughout the party i talked to her small chat, i was a little catty (not bad though). I was having an amazing time at the party and she was a little depressed (at least she looked it). As she left i gave her a big hug and kiss on the cheek and she started to cry and i let her leave.

She sent me a msg later saying sorry she left like that. I have been attempting to semi successfully to try and not call/contact her. I told her she has my number so if she wants to talk it has to come from her. She later sent me another text saying she'd call me later (which i assumed was today) and i'm pretty surprised i have not heard from her.

I will most likely see her again tonight at another party (i know i cant help this) and its hard to deal with because i know we both have feelings still for each other but its almost like were waiting for the other to make a move.

I would love too but i wont just because she dumped me and if she wants me back she's gong to have to try.

Just looking for advice on how to deal with her, or maybe i'm being silly and should just ignore her (which is prob right answer) but its not that easy.

I've always found her attractive and liked her personality but up until now it has just been friends, yet this weekend we both got drunk and slept together. I told her that i cared about her and that i was willing to just be friends which is true, and she was shocked to hear how i felt and i think she is unsure herself. She lives a couple hours away, but its not a big deal because we would be seeing each other 2 weekend a month. I will be going home to visit and plan on seeing her when i do. Also if i do go ahead we will have to work together during the summer in close quarters.

2. How should i go about this if i wanted to keep pushing, because a formal date would be weird, should i talk to her about it or just hang out as friends and try and make a move or see if it goes anywhere

Alright, the story goes simply like this.

This girl had became my friend last spring due to a school trip, we formed a r/s over that time and when i came back to school, i realized i had a crush on her. I'm pretty obvious and she wanted to go to prom with me. I asked her with the idea we'd be going out after i asked her, yet nothing. Now that shes gotten a prom date, she only really talks to me when i iniate and she has really not given me the same attention as before. Some of her friends tell me to keep pushing and that shes being stubborn but i dunno. The whole thing doesn't add up. I like her , i ask her for a date she backs out using a excuse. Do i have to ask her stright out if she likes me ? and if its a no than cancel our prom date cause i only wanted to go to prom with her under the pretence she be my gf. Any ideas of what shes thinking, does she like me, and what i should do about it either way thanks guys
