  • Where is the uproar over gas prices?

As I recall, when G. W. Bush was in office and gas prices went up, everyone, including the media, blamed Bush. Where is the outrage now? Where are the stories in the media? I doubt that everyone has figured out that the market plays a larger role in this than the president.

  • Was Obama lying in his budget speech?

President Barack Obama misrepresented the House Republicans’ budget plan at times and exaggerated its impact on U.S. residents during an April 13 speech on deficit reduction.

■Obama claimed the Republicans’ "Path to Prosperity" plan would cause "up to 50 million Americans … to lose their health insurance.” But that worst-case figure is based in part on speculation and assumptions.

■He said the GOP plan would replace Medicare with "a voucher program that leaves seniors at the mercy of the insurance industry." That’s an exaggeration. Nothing would change for those 55 and older. Those younger would get federal subsidies to buy private insurance from a Medicare exchange set up by the government.

■He said "poor children," "children with autism" and "kids with disabilities" would be left "to fend for themselves." That, too, is an exaggeration. The GOP says states would have "freedom and flexibility to tailor a Medicaid program that fits the needs of their unique populations." It doesn’t bar states from covering those children.

■He repeated a deceptive talking point that the new health care law will reduce the deficit by $1 trillion. That’s the Democrats’ own estimate over a 20-year period. The Congressional Budget Office pegged the deficit savings at $210 billion over 10 years and warned that estimates beyond a decade are "more and more uncertain."

■He falsely claimed that making the Bush tax cuts permanent would give away "$1 trillion worth of tax cuts for every millionaire and billionaire." That figure — which is actually $807 billion over 10 years — refers to tax cuts for individuals earning more than $200,000 and couples earning more than $250,000, not just millionaires and billionaires.

■He said the tax burden on the wealthy is the lowest it has been in 50 years. But the most recent nonpartisan congressional analysis showed that the average federal tax rate for high-income taxpayers was lower in 1986.

Aren't these all lies he told? This information comes from factcheck

  • Is the left ready to admit that Obama is a failure?

Gitmo is still open. Reversal on military trials for detainees. Libyan disaster. Economy in ruins. Spiraling, out of control debt. Weak on national security. Gas prices more than doubled.

  • Should the Wisconsin Democrats be thrown out of office?

Isn't their behavior a little like a kid throwing a temper tantrum? The Governor made it clear what he would do and the people voted him in. Isn't this really about protecting their own coffers and failing to realize that elections have consequences.

  • Why do people think what has happened in Egypt is good?

Do people not realize that our current administration was caught completely off guard? Do people not realize that the Military is now in control? Do people not realize that the only organized activists in the region are the Muslim Brotherhood, and that they are bad? Do people not realize that there is a very real possibility that this will be Iran all over again?

  • Should Al Gore be condemed for the fraud he perpetrated?

“It is not a good policy to have these massive subsidies for (U.S.) first generation ethanol,” said Gore, speaking at a green energy business conference in Athens sponsored by Marfin Popular Bank.

“First generation ethanol I think was a mistake. The energy conversion ratios are at best very small.

“It’s hard once such a programme is put in place to deal with the lobbies that keep it going.”

He explained his own support for the original programme on his presidential ambitions.

“One of the reasons I made that mistake is that I paid particular attention to the farmers in my home state of Tennessee, and I had a certain fondness for the farmers in the state of Iowa because I was about to run for president.”

As Noel Sheppard over at NewsBusters reminds us, “Gore was the tie-breaking vote in the Senate mandating the use of ethanol in 1994.”

So more than ten years ago, Gore supported an expensive, “not good policy” because he thought it would help him get elected president.

Yet media don‘t believe he’d misrepresent the threat of manmade global warming in order to become extremely rich.

  • First Greece, then Ireland, how long before the US goes down?

While the rest of the world is turning away from Socialist policies that lead to bankruptcy, the US seems bent on pushing through more damaging policies via the Obama administration. Are they that incompetent or do you think it is by design?

  • Do people understand what Obama did when he monetized the debt?

The Fed is planning to print $1 Trillion dollars. The immediate result was a jump in oil and commodities. The new congress coming in will face an even worse situation. Are people dumb enough to think that the massive economic problems brought on by Obama are the fault of the incomming GOP?

  • Are we not allowed to protect our borders?

The uproar over shooting someone that was throwing large rocks at border agents is nuts. I say shoot every one you catch crossing illegally. Fine businesses that hire them and throw the owners in jail. If you think this is harsh, I suggest you enter into Mexico illegally and see what happens to you.

  • Why is the government not being hammered for the ill response to the oil spill?

remember everyone going nuts against Bush for Katrina, despite the fact that in order to be fully involved he would have had to take over the state. FEMA holds the cash and are not first responders. First responders are the sole responsibility of the State. It has to do with sovereignty and all. Now this mess has Feds written all over it. There is nobody else that should be in charge. I am wondering how bad Bush would be bashed if he were in charge and this was happening.

  • Will those that called for Brownies head at FEMA call for Michael Leiter's head?

The top official in charge of analyzing terror threats did not cut short his ski vacation after the underwear bomber nearly blew up an airliner on Christmas Day. I am wondering if the left will circle the wagons on this guy or choose not to be hypocrites.

  • Is Obama's failure now complete with the loss of the Olympics?

Was this not a monumental waste of time and money. Does this man spend any actual time running the country? We are fighting 2 wars, the economy is in worse shape, we are broke and all this guy does is appear on TV and make useless trips.

  • Was Wilson right about Obama not telling the truth?

I am not interested in the bashing of Wilson for where he chose to call out Obama. I am interested in what Obama said. "Even though I do not believe we can extend coverage to those who are here illegally, I also don't simply believe we can simply ignore the fact that our immigration system is broken."

  • Why are those that disagree with Obama called racist?

Aren't these the same people that wanted Condi to run? Aren't these the same people that like Clarence Thomas? I am just wondering why the left wants to use this play.

  • Is state run media a precursor to fascism?

Does it bother anyone that we now have two major networks that do nothing more than propaganda machines for the administration? The job of media is to keep government in check, not promote it's policies.

  • Why is the media not covering Cindy Sheehan protesting Obama?

I am wondering why it was such big news when she camped out in Crawford, but now that it is Obama, zero coverage. Could it be that she was used by the left and then thrown under the bus when her whack job views no longer serve the lefts purpose?

  • Why is there no real reform in the health care bill?

There is nothing in the bill to address tort reform. There is no major emphasis on Americans becoming healthier via diet and exercise. Without these issues being addressed, doesn't this just come down to a power grab? We have some of the best health care available to us in the world, why not just tweak the system?
