  • Thinking about trading my AR-15.?

I have a Barnes Precision AR-15, 14.5" barrel, chambered in .223/5.56. I recently posted it on Armslist mainly to see what people offer since everyone seems to be wanting an AR-15.Had a few offers on it. but only 2 stood out and wanted some opinions on the trades. The first trade I was offered was a Sig 556ER. Basically the same thing just a different platform. But I do like Sig because they're known to be awesome guns. As far as the second trade which is a Saiga Ak-74 in 5.45x39. I have always been an AK fan, really more that an AR but I just don't know about the 5.45x39, but I will tell you he is offering over 3,000 rounds to go with it. I do know that Bulgarian AK are among the best AK's out there.

So should I trade for the SIG, the Saiga AK-74 or just keep my Barnes Precision?

  • Piers Morgan, can you believe this guy?

A few nights ago Piers Morgan stressed about how successful the Australia gun ban of 1996 were, He constantly asked how many mass shootings occurred after 1996? The answer is none! I guess gun control really does work. It's just too bad also since 1996 in Australia, armed robberies are up 69%, assaults with guns are up 28%, gun murders are up 19% and home invasions are up 21%. Piers Morgan left those facts out, I guess they were not important!!!

Basically I just want other opinions on this rifle before I purchase it. I know it's not the best sniper rifle out there. This one has detachable mags, Nikon buck master scope, bipod, picitinie scope mount.

  • My question to gun grabbers?

Benjamin Franklin once said "They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." How does it feel to be a coward in the eyes of our forefathers?

  • Upcoming ban on assault weapons?

First of all what is it going to accomplish, when it passes I promise you that my AR15 is going to be right were I left it, along with 18 fully loaded 30 round magazines it sets beside. My way of fighting this battle of assault rifles getting into the wrong hands is myself investing my tax return on a nice gun safe so that no one breaks into my house and it getting into the wrong hands. As far as the ban, it will only drive up the price of assault weapons and still will be available from individual sales. There is no magic word that will make assault weapons disappear. People will always have them, they will become the newest drug in America. So what are these liberals trying to accomplish?

Assault weapons are the ultimate self defense weapons, Proof of this is the North Hollywood shootout, where 2 men armed with AK-47s got into a shootout with tons and tons of police officers armed only with handguns and shotguns. The police were no match to just 2 men armed with these assault weapons, so what did the police do? They scattered to local gun shops and pull off the selves a certain type of rifle!! The AR-15!!! Only with these weapons they were able to take control of the situation, get those men separated and on the run and take them out. Assault weapons give you a tactical advantage, which is what I want if someone broke into my house. When it comes to my wife and kids I'd have damn rocket launcher if I could. Probably a bad idea actually lol But if it came to the safety of your wife and children, wouldn't you want the tactical advantage if a man armed with an assault rifle breaks into your house, but sadly since you won't be able to purchase an assault rifle, you'll become those out gunned police officers armed with only handguns and shotguns.

I have my own opinion on why they are trying so hard to ban assault rifles. As you know it is our right and duty to overthrow an oppressive Government and elect new leaders. I think getting rid of assault weapons will open a huge window of opportunity for our government to take all of our weapons. Leaving us defenseless and oppressed. Taxing the hell out of us to pay for this national debt. It's got to get paid some how, and paid by someone, who do you think? Right now they are using a tactic of winning hearts and minds. That is a tactic that wins wars now. For us they are using our children, they always use our children. So far it seems to be working as planned. They use the media to deliver false information to their viewers, I have never in my life purchased a gun from a gun show without a ATF background check, they say 40% is sold without it. I have 11 guns, that means at least 4 of them I've purchased without an ATF background check. Once again that is false information, When they bring up the second amendment they never fail to mention that out founding fathers probably never considered the advancement of firearms to come in the future. I think that is false information as well, our founding fathers are brilliant men, most were in fact inventors, they are in history books for god sakes how do you expect me to believe that statement. They also bring up tanks and nuclear weapons, those are frightening things for people to own, but of course they have to bring that up to scare its viewers.

If they were really so concerned for the safety of our children why won't they do way with gun free zones, actually allowing people to carry a firearm to protect themselves and others. Today you do not have the right to defend yourself in a school, college university, movie theater or a shopping mall, Those may sound familiar if you've been watching the news. I don't see what the problem is allowing a law-abiding teacher with a concealed weapons permit to carry a firearm in the classroom for the safety of our children. Instead they're only defense is just allowing them to lock their doors and hide under their desks. But I guess that's what the American people want, then so be it!!!

  • I think my AR15 is broken?

It is a BPM AR15, it's a fine rifle, 16" heavy SS barrel, 1-8 twist, breachers muzzle, magpull everything, quad rails, EOTech. Been watching some crappy CNN the past week or so, which leads me to believe that my AR15 is broken because it's never shot anyone!!!

  • What is a good .380 handgun to buy?

I'm researching some .380 pocket pistols, right now I have a Diamond Back DP380 and that thing sucks and I wouldn't trust it for **** with my life. It doesn't shoot half the time when I pull the trigger, I cleaned it out afterwards and it had clumps of **** in it that I don't know what it was, havent tried it out since then.

I want a .380 that I can conceal for work and no one will see. Looked at the Sig P238, Kel-Tec's and Ruger LCP's. I want something I know will shoot every single time. What gun would be good for me?

  • Springfield 1911 questions on guide rods?

I have a Springfield LW Operator 1911, it has a full length guide rod. I don't really like the fact that I'd have to have my tool on me at all times to field strip it anywhere I wanted. I was looking at the DP tooless guide rod but before I do that I was wondering if a more traditional guide rod like the mil specs guide rods would work for it, I love my Operator dearly so its nothing but the best, looking at trying out a Wilson Combat plug and recoil spring guide. Will that fit my 1911?

  • bullet proof vest vs. 3 1/2in 00B?

I know I've seen videos of bullet proof vests holding back shotgun shells but everyone knows there's a big difference between 2 3/4in bird shots and 3 1/2in buck shots. Would the 3 1/2in 00B shot go through, say a level III bullet proof vest. I'm sure it would but if not the person in the vest would wish he was dead!!!!

  • Chrysler Crossfire????

I'm soon trading my truck, a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 with a 4.7L V8 for a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire with a 3.2L V6. Although I love trucks and later down the road I'm going to get a new one. But the truck I have now is my abby but every time i turn around it's being worked on or at elate I'm working on it. I don't know how but right now the problem is the pinion gear head broke off into the axle. I guess the mechanic that put in my 4.10 gears ****** up some how. but my uncle has a Crossfire he is willing to trade even with my broken truck. It only has 64,000 miles on it my tuck had 85,000, the crossfire is actually over half Mercedes-benz including the engine and transmission so you know its good quality. Does this seem like a good trade?
