My 5 month old baby is currently breastfed, he has 1 bottle of formula at bedtime. He would previously feed for around 10 minutes each side at every feed and take about 5oz in his bedtime bottle. This past week he has started taking less and less at each feed - i'm lucky if he feeds for 10 minutes in total now when breastfeeding and will now only take 2-3 oz at bedtime, I know that babies appetite changes just like ours would but after getting him weighed again this week he has now dropped from 14lb 7oz to 14lb 5oz and now is 14lb 2oz in the last 3 weeks. His percentile has gone from 25 to 9. The health visitor just said to start him on solids, which i have done today but thats not going to help gain much with the tiny amounts he will be eating! Just wondered if anyone else had been through a similar experience, or how I can get him to drink more milk. Thanks

I've been having these sharp pains on and off for the last few weeks and I presume they are cervical pains from the babies head pressing down / cervix dilating. Yesterday these pains got so bad whenever I try to sit down either on a hard dining chair or my bouncy birth ball it hurts loads!!! They're not contractions I know that, they dont come in waves or anything its only when I'm sitting in certain positions - mainly sat upright. I just didn't think it should hurt THIS much. I was examined on Saturday by my midwife and she said I've dilated about 2cm and my cervix is 50% effaced and babies head is 3/5 engaged. I've been having LOTS of Braxton Hicks contractions and my tummy is nearly always contracting whenever I walk about but I have no pain at these times. I just wondered if anyone had experienced these pains at this late stage or if anyone knew what the pain is.

For 7 days now I have had the worst wind / farts I have EVER experienced. I have not had any change in my diet so it can't be that. I am farting about 100 times a day and haven't "been" for about 4 days. I just feel so bloated and bunged up, my tummy is constantly gurgling and it's awful - they smell so so bad! I am trying to conceive at the moment and have heard this could be an early sign of pregnancy but I'm only 10 dpo today so don't know if it would happen so quickly. It would be great to know if anyone else had suffered from this and why or how they got rid of it!

I had a positive ovulation test yesterday afternoon and tonight whilst having sex it felt painful- like it was going too deep or if I'm bruised. Wondered if this happens when you're ovulating? Also if my test was positive for ovulation yesterday when would I have actually ovulated? Thanks in advance!

3 weeks ago I had what me and the doctors thought was a miscarriage (pain, lots of bleeding and my hcg levels went from 1200 on 1st day of testing to 500 after 48 hours). When the doctor phoned to tell me my levels had dropped to 500 and we had "lost" the baby, she told me to take another pregnancy test in 2 weeks just to check.

I have been bleeding ever sine my "miscarriage" and still am now. When I did the test on Thursday it was positive so I phoned the hospital and they told me to come back in for another HCG test - it had risen to 2500 - they were slightly confused so did a scan and found I have gestational sac in my uterus. They now know its not ectopic but I don't understand what is happening and to be honest the doctors all seemed pretty confused at the hospital!

So now I'm wondering what the hell is going on I'm going back tom for another HCG test to see if it has risen again. I'm just so confused and wonder what I should be thinking - the fact I have been bleeding so much surely can't be right? And why did it fall and then rise?

Any help or answers would be fab!!

I am about 5 weeks pregnant and last night I found some dark brown discharge in my knickers (probably the size of 10p coin). We went to the hospital last night and they kept me in a couple of hours to see if I lost anymore blood, I didn't I just keep getting some really light brown on the tissue when I go to the toilet.

The doctor didn't really know why I had bled and didn't know if I had miscarried she said I would just have to wait for a couple of weeks and do another test to see if I'm still pregnant then. It's so awful I just want to know either way, I have a constant funny feeling in my stomach and have started to feel nauseous (like morning sickness) but I don't know if its just anxiety.

Did the same again today and they were positive again. While I was there thought I would just do a pregnancy test at the same time. On Monday I had my implanon removed after 2 & half years. Previously I had the Jab for 2 years and over this whole period (4 and half years) i have never had a period - except for last month September 12th.

I had the implanon removed early as me and my partner want to try for a baby. I thought that I might have another period earlier this week as I had one last month about this time but nothing as yet.

How can I find out when I am ovulating and when would you expect my periods & fertility to return?
