How some idiotic McCain backers respond to the phony "lipstick on a pig" controversy!!!?
It's amazing that McCain/Palin supporters feign disgust for Obama using a common phrase (said by McCain about Hillary, by Obama and McCain prior to Palin being named, and many many times by many many other people) and demand an apology. Amazingly, their disgust and sudden care of racial/gender sensitivity (which they are now trying to pretend that they actually care about women/minorities) is reflected wonderfully by one perfect statement by a McCain/Palin supporter (Nikkig813) in the post, Obama - lipstick on a pig whatever he meant:
How sad it is that instead of talking about social issues that acutally matters he is more interested in disrespecting his oponents... He is ridiculous... You can take the monkey out of the zoo... but you can't take the zoo out of the monkey

Seriously, are you calling him a monkey? Wow, talk about racist! See how easy it is to take something out of any possible context... Morons.
If you are looking for a question, here goes - why are Republicans suddenly pretending to be the torchbearers for women's right and minority rights after for years they've been shoving them back in the house or blaming them for America's woes?
8 AnswersElections1 decade agoAnyone hear Palin's remarks about the Fannie & Freddie bailout? Why isn't national news covering the slip?
Yesterday at their stop in Lee's Summit, MO, Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin remarked about the buyout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by the federal government and said they had simply "become too big and too expensive for the taxpayers." Of course, what she fails to realize is that they were private companies with preferential treatment from the US Government, which until yesterday had not cost the American taxpayer a single dime. Now they will cost upwards of billions of dollars because of the lax oversight and savage de-regulation that has taken place over the last few decades. Who does this say more about? Her understanding (or lack thereof) of the issues, or the McCain campaign give her this incorrect talking point (thereby proving that McCain needs to continue his education the economy - using his own words there, not mine).
Please give reasoned and well thought out answers and not a short sentence endorsing a candidate, spewing a talking point, or mocking the Obama team. This is an honest and fair question about Sarah Palin and John McCain's understanding of the economy.
3 AnswersElections1 decade agoAfter 8yrs of Republican rule, how can people honestly give them another 4/8?
How, after the record Republicans currently have on the economy, health care, foreign policy, disaster relief, education, infrastructure, gap in wealth, and virtually every other issue, can anyone in good conscience believe that their policies are better for America? How can Republicans claim to be the "outsiders" and the "mavericks" when they have held the Presidency for 8 years, prior to 2006 had both houses of Congress for numerous years, and during that time have shaped many of our nations courts?
Please, only rational answers and try to make them longer than one short quip or irrational Obama attack.
