I was playing baseball(i'm a catcher) and i was in the bullpen catching someone up....(i wasn't wearing my shin guards) sure enough he bounced one that nailed me in the shin....when i got home that night there was a deep purple brusie and swelling of the hit area about 3 inches high....a week later the bruise is still slightly swollen but it is spreading down my leg so now it takes up my whole shin.....what should i do?

  • Now that football season is over....?

What do i do...I have to wait until Sept. to see some real Football again. I guess there is baseball but the season is so long and exhausting. (and the mets, my team, have no chance of doing well) I bored of Madden and other games can only last me so long.

So what are you doing this offseason?

  • I'm just not happy.....?

i'm a 17 year old guy, I do well in school have a couple very close friends, and my family is financially well off. It seems that i just don't enjoy myself doing nearly anything. Also, i don't do to well with the ladies, truth is, i just don't talk with them for fear of making myself look like an idiot. And that my be the reason i feel like this. I'm just feeling like crap all the time. And i'm tired off it. It's like nothing is fun...ever. One activity that i still thoroughly enjoy is watching football(die hard pats fan) and even that is coming to a close in the coming weeks....i don't know what are your thoughts?

  • Brady is actually a tough QB.?

I know many of you don't watch Patriots games. I don't watch many Jags games fore example and it would be unwise to think that everyone watches teh same games as i do. I can say for certain though(after watching every pats game for the past 3 years) that Tom Brady isn't soft/pansy-ish. The little things he does blocking/diving in on fumbles/waiting to slide for the last possible second and lastly taking big hits and getting up as if they were nothing....oh yeah and i forgot...last season he played the whole year with 3 broken ribs and an broken index finger on his right hand....

  • New England Patriots get no respect?

The Patriots defense is ranked in the top half of the league in points allowed. Their offense is among the top in the league. And they consistently win the turnover battle. Yet somehow, people are labeling them as "average" I've even heard people say "Brady doesn't play well in the playoffs" do they forget that he had 3 broken ribs and a broken index finger on the throwing hand last season? And his #1 target was out the year before that. Do they think his now 15 postseason wins just disappeared over night? All they've To be honest i don't see the Ravens coming into Foxborough, and winning this won; they have 2 fewer planning days than the pats(today+travel day) and one less day to recover. Not to mention they are healthy(as healthy as i could hope right now) Hernandez's head is fine. Now if they win(which i think i made it obvious that i think they should) i can see the giants giving them a fit and even beating them, but not the 49ers. IDK 15-5 with 3SB wins and 1:21 seconds left on the clock with 0 timeouts starting at the 17 and getting a FG seems pretty dang clutch to me....So, why do they get no respect.

  • My greatest fears....?

I'm a 17 year old male...i have two most notable fears: Tornadoes and Someone Breaking in at Night.

Whenever its really windy outside and dark/cloudy i get so afraid i feel like i'll throw up...i don't know why but Tornadoes really frighten me. (I even have a reoccurring dream where i'm in the car with my dad and tornadoes appear everywhere and he won't turn around)

Also, at night, on some occasions i just get really afraid that someone will break in. We have 3 cats and 4 dogs so random noises frequent my household. and when the cats go through the cat door it makes a sound similar to my basement door opening. Whenever this happens i instantly stop what i'm doing for a good 10-15 minutes just listening for any further sign. I just get really paranoid.

So, how can i get over these fears

oh and btw. we have a full working alarm system.

so how can i relieve my self...living in fear for even short durations is horrible.

  • Are you ready for the playoffs!?

I think that this playoff series has the potential to be great. 3 high-powered Offenses with lousy D's.(pats packers, Saints) Teams with lousy O's but great D's (Broncos 49ers Ravens Texans) then the middle ground teams(Steelers, Giants, Bengals, Falcons) ....and i have no clue where to put the Lions.

  • Tom Brady is the Best QB statistically of all time?

    (minimum 5 years started)

I pitted brady against other Great QB's(P. Manning, Joe Montana, Dan Marino) statistically speaking. Brady came out on top in nearly every major category.

    Brady: TD% 5.6

    Manning: 5.5

    Montana: 5.1

    Marino: 5.0

    INT%

    Brady: 2.2

    Manning: 2.7

    Montana: 2.6

    Marino: 3

    Passer Rating

    Brady 96.1

    Manning: 94.9

    Montana: 92.3

    Marino: 86.4

    Yards/completion

    Brady: 11.7

    Manning: 11.7

    Montana: 11.9

    Marino: 12.4

    Winning ratio:

    Brady: 3.42

    Manning: 2.1

    Montana: 2.49

    Marino: 1.58

That about sums it up, if you want me to add another QB that i've left out let me know...

Note: i did not put up SB wins for a reason...This was supposed to be offensive stats only and i didn't want the manning lovers to say "OH WELL brady had a better d thats why he won"

well, what are your guys' thoughts.

  • Life on the line...who you picking?

You need to Win ONE game not 10 not 5 but one game...

    Pick a QB

    A. Aaron Rodgers

    B. Brady, Tom

(yeah i did ^ on purpose)

Why do you pick them? Accuracy? Heart? Determination? Arm Strength? Scramble Ability? Leadership? Making the most of nothing?

Remember: (obviously this isn't true) but they lose, you die((changes the whole mood))

  • So, whats your top 10 QB's of all time?

please Justify your answer(at least top 3)

    1. Tom Brady-Lets face it he's the best leader, has done the most with the least, and has the highest winning% of any QB ever.

    2. Montana-4 rings need i say more that HE earned(bradshaw, not so much)

    3. Elway- 3 rings and a class act(for the most part) 5 appearnces always did what it took to win

    4. Steve Young 3rd highest passer rating all time (behind rivers and rodgers)

    5. Peyton Manning- Great arm; great brain just not a winner(9-9) in the playoffs

    6. Unitas

    7. Baugh

    8. Ghram

    9. Kelly(4 straight, cmon man)

    10. Rodgers(one hell of a QB, obviously this is a stretch but he has done nothing but win Solid QB that people simply don't want to play against)
