My computer occasionally makes strange noises. Does anyone know how to fix this?
The noise is sort of a swishing noise, and is followed by another similar noise. The second one is different, perhaps you might say lower pitched. If I were to put it in the form of letters it would be something like "chk, chk" It has an almost implied vowel sound of "chik, chook" but the sound is better conveyed without vowels.
I'm assuming it's something malicious as I can't imagine any program would do that without it saying something.
The sound comes from speakers, inaudible without volume on. It's not a hardware issue, I'm completely sure.
