What is the correct way to dispose of worn American flags?
I have six weather worn American flags from past years. I know enough to not just throw them away. What is the proper way to burn or dispose of the flags in the accepted manner?
5 AnswersEtiquette1 decade agowho makes chair in egg commercial?
White egg shaped chair in an egg commercial: who manufactures this line of furniture? Chrome Craft of California used to make similar furniture in the sixties: featured in the series "The Prisoner" from BBC. They went out of business. New Chrome Craft company has no records and doesn't know what I'm talking about. Have exhausted all other leads. Want to purchase complete line to replace what I now have. It's now 41 years old. Looks good, but foam is losing its elasticity.
1 AnswerDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoI need someone to sculpt a large kitty out of styrofoam block. Where do I locate an artist for hire?
I'm a cat lover and savior. I want a five to six foot high cat, (domestic short hair, not a lion), sculpted out of styrofoam block, so I can cover it with fiberglass reinforced concrete, and place it in front of my home between two large arborvitaes. I might even want left and right versions. I'll do the concrete work; it's just I'm an engineer and not an artist and my attempts look more like third grade rather than real. Cannot find sculptress who are even interested in giving it a try. Where is there a willing supply of artist starting out who don't need twelve million for the commissioned work?
3 AnswersSculpture1 decade agoWhen little Px was for prescriptions(or drugstore on base) now we use Rx. Why the change?
Px stood for prescription, or the local Px (drugstore) on military base. Since 1950 when everyone knew what thePx was, it seems to automatically changed to Rx. Does anyone know how/why this came about? I know language changes over the years through incorrect usage, but I don't see the logical progression in this one.
