  • What size wedding dress should I get?

I found the wedding dress that I absolutely love. And, the best part is it is on sale! But, the wedding isn't until September of 2014. I was wondering about what size to order. I was thinking maybe ordering two sizes bigger (size 8) just in case. But, I've been going off and on thinking that it'll be too much. I like to be the "rather safe than sorry" person. Plus, I've been trying to work out more to get back into shape. My goals is to lose 15 lbs. My mom knows a lady who can do the alterations on the dress for a good price. But, I don't want them to have to do too much work. My FSIL told me that when she had her wedding dress altered the lady had to hand sow all the beading back onto the dress. But, she bought a size 16 wedding dress, because it was the one she loved and it was on sale, and she's only a size 6. So, that was a lot of material they had to take off.

So, should I order just one size bigger or two? Would ordering two sizes bigger be too much?

  • What can I use to build a climbing wall for hermit crabs?

I'm looking for something that's like clay (I can mold but it hardens as it dries) that I can use to build a climbing wall for my hermit crabs. I'm going to make it so it's a climbing wall as well as a hide place. And I was wondering what can I use that is safe for hermit crabs.

  • Questions about beginning a salt water tank?

I love aquariums and would like to eventually have a salt water tank in the future (after I graduate from vet tech school). I like doing as much research as I possibly can before I purchase any type of animal that I don't have experience with. I already have 3 tanks, a 55 gallon tropical tank with 3 cichlids, a 5 gallon tank with a betta fish and snail, and a 56 gallon tank with 2 black moores.

    The questions I have are:

    - What size tank is best for a beginner?

    - Is the cycling process the same for the salt water as it is for the fresh water? Or is it a little different?

    - What equpiment is required for the salt water?

    - What salt water fish are best for beginners?

    - What would be the best cleaner tank mates (such as snails, etc) to have?

    - How different is the maintenance for a salt water tank compared to a fresh water?

    - What decor (rocks, live plants, fake plants, etc) are best to have?

    - What kind of food do most salt water fish usually eat (flakes, pellets, live food, frozen food, etc)?

    - Is there any reputable websites that sell captive bred fish? (I prefer captive bred fish)

    - Is there any common diseases I should be aware of?

    - What size tank is best as a quarantine tank?

    - What is the best type of subtrate to have?

    - Is tanking care of live plants for a salt water aquarium much different from the fresh water plants? I like having live plants in my tanks.

    - What is the best filturation system for salt water tanks?

    - What is a good book on salt water aquariums? Or any good websites?

That's all of the questions I can think of right now. Any other advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! =)

  • I need help with the sago palm bugs?

I bought a sago palm at the beginning of the summer and I was keeping it as a house plant. Well about a month after I purchased it I noticed that it started getting white stuff on it. I looked it up and found out the white stuff was bugs. I went out and bought Natria insecticidal soap and sprayed my plant. I'm not exactly sure if it will work 100% or not. But the bugs have some how got to my other house plants.

Will the insecticide I got work on these bugs? If not what is the best things for me to do to get rid of them?

  • I need help with choosing soil for my venus fly trap.?

I would like to replant my venus fly trap into a larger pot. But I would like to know what is the best soil/soil combination to use. I was thinking of mixing half peat moss and half perlite. Would this do? If so what is the best brands to use? I read not to use the brands Miracle-Gro or Scotts.

What other soil/soil combinations can I use? And are they easily found at stores like Walmart and Lowes in small bags?

  • Would like some healthy recipes with foods that are high in protein and recipes that uses fresh ingredients.?

Does anyone have any healthy recipes with foods that are high in protein? I would also like recipes for side dishes (or even main dishes) that uses fresh veggies and fruit. I would even appreciate some vegetarian meals that I can try out (if someone has any that a meat eater would love that would be most helpful! I rarely eat meat but my fiance loves meat). My fiance and I are trying to eat healthier and I'm a beginner cook (I'm a natural baker but struggle with cooking for some reason). Any recipes would be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance!!!!! =)

  • What is a good MP3 player? (No iPods please)?

What are some MP3 players to look at? I've had my Creative Zune for years but now it's finally starting to take a crap on me. I'm looking for an MP3 that holds a lot of music (that I can organize into different categories) and plays the FM radio. I don't need one that has the apps, games, etc. No iPods please. I am not interested at all in getting an iPod.

The MP3 I've been looking at are on the website below. Does anyone have it? If so what did you like about it? What didn't you like?

  • What is a good bird to for a beginner?

I've never owned a bird before but I've always wanted one. I read that a parakeet would be a good bird to start off with. So I do plan on doing some research on them. Does anyone have any experience with these birds? I would like to know everything about them. What kind of cage, toys, treats, food, how to hand tame them, etc.

Also is there any other type birds I can look into that are good for a beginner? I don't plan on getting a bird until after I graduate college and get my vet tech degree but I would like to do all the research I can before hand.

    Thanks in advance! =)

  • Girls: Would you be mad if your husband did not wear his wedding ring?

My fiance and I both agreed that after we are married he doesn't have to wear his wedding ring. It doesn't bother me one bit. He doesn't like wearing jewelry. Plus for safety reasons for work and his hobbies (he helps his dad with wood working, welding, working/fixing their hobby cars, etc) it wouldn't be to wise to wear one. We are getting him a ring to have as a tradition for exchanging the rings during the wedding. But after wards it will be in my jewelry box. I'd rather have it in my jewelry box than him constantly taking it off and on and having a chance on loosing it.

His dad doesn't wear his wedding ring either. He wore it while working on his 63 Camaro and it didn't end well. After that my fiance's mom told his dad that he doesn't have to wear the ring and she keeps his in her jewelry box.

So girls would you be mad if your husband didn't wear his wedding ring?

  • What do you think of this wedding favor and centerpiece?

I love to bake and decorate pastries so for my wedding favor I've decided to make brownie pops. The picture below is what I'm thinking of doing. It's either that or decorate the brownie pops to look like flowers or another kind of decoration.

    http://www.etsy.com/storque/media/articles/2010/09...

I was thinking for the centerpiece I would have a vase in the center of the table. And instead of holding flowers it will have the cake pops on top (held in with styrofoam balls that I will cover). I will also find a nice way to decorate each of the vases.

I was thinking of maybe getting the clear vases and putting flame-less candles on the bottom or something else. I'm still trying to come up with more ideas on how I'm going to do this.

What do you think? Is this a cute idea? I thought it'd be better than the normal flower centerpieces. I'm taking a week off of work (the week of my wedding) so I have enough time to do everything and make these. And the vases would be made a month or two a head of time. And my wedding day is not until August 2012.

Does anyone have any ideas on the the kind of vase I should use. Which would look better a solid color vase or a clear vase? If a clear one what are some ideas on how to decorate the inside. I'm trying to get as much ideas as I can!

    Thanks in advance!!!! =)

  • What is good to get at Red Lobster?

I've never been there before. Mainly because I'm not a sea food person. I don't like it. But when I see the commercials for Red Lobster on the tv they actually make the sea food look good. I've been thinking that maybe the main reason why I hate sea food so much is that the only kind I ever ate when I was younger my mom made (she's not the best of cooks). And usually when you have something that tastes nasty as a kid you never want to eat it again.

I was kind of the same way with steak. I could never eat steak if it was not well done. And even then I thought it was nasty. But my boyfriend's dad (took him 2 years) got me to slowly love steak cooked medium. At first I could only do bite size pieces with A-1 or cut it and put the A-1 on the cut side so I don't see the pink. Now I can just eat a regular steak with out A-1 and whatnot.

So I figured I would give sea food another try but this time at a place that makes good sea food and my boyfriend's aunt gave us a gift card to Red Lobster 2 years ago.

So what kind of food do you like at Red Lobster? What do you recommend me to start out with? I was thinking of kind of doing like the steak. Have something cover the sea food so I don't really see it then I can slowly take that away.

  • Need some beach/ocean decorating ideas please.?

My boyfriend's dad built us a fish tank stand for our two tanks (1 10 gallon and 1 20 gallon). The stand looks like the one in the photo below but it is stained darker and it's a little wider (giving us about 1/2 foot of free space around both tanks).

    http://www.petworldshop.com/pictures/gallon-aquari...

I was thinking of a beach/ocean theme but I'm having a hard time picturing it and coming up with good ideas. So far I was thinking of putting a fake palm tree in the middle of the tanks and having a flame-less candle garden with sand and shells. I also have a conch shell I found at the beach in NC.

I was thinking of finding some sort of fabric (a beige color for sand) and putting it around both fish tanks to make it kinda look like sand and just put shells on top of that and the flame-less candle garden in between the tanks but in front of the palm tree.

I don't know if that's overdoing it/will look ok/etc. I don't want to put too many decorations in front of the tanks because I'll have to move them once a week when I do my weekly water changes. And also it would be harder to dust and clean around a lot of stuff.

Can I please get some ideas? Do you think the decoration I thought of would be ok? If you have any photos for examples that would help a bunch!

Thank you all in advance!! =)

  • How much will this boost my credit? What else can I do to help my credit?

Long story short my parents never taught me anything about credit, credit cards, loans, etc. Mom just told me to never get them because they are bad. That's it. She didn't give a reason of why they are bad. Well my dad told me to get a credit card and car in my name (parents were going through a divorce and dad said he needed a car that mom can't touch thus the reason why it went in my name) and I listened to him and believed the things he said about paying them off and how he knew what he was doing. He didn't pay and my credit got ruined.

Well I paid off the debt I was in and I know I have poor credit (in the low 500's). Now my boyfriend and I have an apartment that's in my name, the utilities are in my name, I have a cell phone plan in my name, and I have a $300 credit card in my name. My boyfriend has great credit because his parents taught him all the things he needed to know and they are teaching me. They said having the those things in my name and paying them off when they are due will help my credit.

I pay off the credit card every time I use it and I never go over the limit. My boyfriend and I pay off the rent on the day it's due and we send in the payment for the utilities the moment we get the bill. And I also pay off my cell phone bill the moment I get my bill.

How much will having the apartment, utilities, cell phone plan, and credit card in my name boost my credit? Will I have fair credit by next year or will it take a longer time? What are some other ways I can help boost my credit with?

  • Do you like celebrating your birthday? Why or why not?

As a kid (just like every kid) I always looked forward to my birthday. But I've already had 23 birthdays that I celebrated. That's enough for me. For one I don't like all the attention the birthday person gets. But my boyfriend wants to celebrate my birthday because as he puts it "if you weren't born on that day then I wouldn't of met you". So I agreed we can do something small next weekend for my 24th birthday. I don't care for parties, and I hate bars so I asked him if we can go snowboarding. And he agreed. So we are getting some friends together to go.

Do you like celebrating your birthday? Why or why not? And if you do what do you like/would you like to do? What was the best birthday you had?

My best birthday was my 21st. Since I met my boyfriend and his friends I've celebrated my birthday with 4 other people (for 6 years) since their birthdays are days after mine (I'm the oldest of the 5 of us that are born in March). And for our 21st birthdays we braved the huge snowstorm we had (it was a complete white out, and the snow drifts were covering the roads, my boyfriend and his friends live out in the country) to go to a bar they wanted to (I was the DD for the night even though it was my 21st. I'm not fond of drinking especially in bars so I stayed sober). And then the next day after the storm passed we got out all of our 4 wheelers, sleds, and snow tubes and spent the day dragging people on the sleds with the 4 wheelers trying to knock them off.

  • Would a black moor be fine in a 15-20 gallon tank?

My sister won't believe me when I told her that the black moor she has needs a big tank. She keeps him in a 2 gallon tank. He's only a little guy (maybe a little more than an inch). But she won't buy him a bigger tank. Well after bothering her all the time about it she told me to take him.

I read these fish needs at least a 30 gallon tank for one but I can only have up to a 15-20 gallon tank for my apartment (they won't let me go bigger than that). I already have a 10 gallon tropical tank that I keep 3 glofish (not gold fish) and an african dwarf frog in and I have a 5 gallon tank that I've been doing a fish-less cycle for over a month now so I can get a betta.

    My questions are:

Will the black moor be fine in the 15-20 gallon tank?

Will I be able to put him in the 5 gallon tank until I can buy him the bigger tank and do a fish-less cycle for it?

Will I be able to get him a buddy for the 15-20 gallon tank like shrimp or another small fancy gold fish? I plan on getting a 40-55 gallon tank within the next couple of years (I don't plan on staying at my apartment forever. It's my boyfriend's and my 1st place)

I can eventually get him a bigger tank after I leave my apartment and get a bigger place but right now the 15-20 gallon is the best I can do and no one we know would take him.

  • Sand or Gravel in a fish tank?

Right now I'm using gravel on the bottom of my tropical fish tank. Its a 10 gallon tank that has an African Dwarf frog and 3 glofish. But I'm thinking of switching over to sand because I read that it is easier to clean. But I've never used sand for a tank before. What are the pros and cons to having sand in a fish tank? Which one do you like best?
