  • Database List Question?

All, I have a list that I need to keep track of. I guess you could say I am the administrator...

    Currently I have:

    Name ID Date State

So I have the list above filled out but the information is ever-changing and these changes are done by a few different managers. Where or how can I get this list online or similar in order for the managers to each see the complete list and make edits? I want to be able to track the revisions (100+ a week) and be able to edit if need be. I was thinking something similar to Google Docs but that is really not working for me so far because it is too prone to mistakes (wrong date format or wrong state abbreviation) and the revisions are all kept track of but I can't look and edit while the revision pane is open.

Maybe G Docs is not the best solution... Maybe something down the lines of a SQL DB is needed? If so I don't have much experience with this, how would I get started?

Thanks for any help or information you might have!!

  • Routers and Switches?

Hello everyone, I have a quick question. I have been crawling the Internet to find the differences between a router and a switch and I have not really come out with anything that I was looking for. Here is the situation. I have about 10 computers in a small office setting that I would like to connect to the Internet and to each other, all via a Gigabit network connection. What would be my best option in doing this? Looking around, I cannot seem to find a 10+ port router that allow any more than 10/100. I have found some switches that do this, but I don't know if there is anyway to essentially get the Internet somehow through the switch and to the computers. Can you help me with this. Thank you all for your time.

    f(x) = (1/4x^4) - (2/3x^3) + (1/2x^2)

Find the points of inflection. I believe that I am getting hung up somewhere one the second derivative and then setting the equation equal to zero, can someone please explain the processes that go into this. Thanks!

  • How to Office Networking?

Hello everyone, I know computers pretty well, and I love to build them, I am also familiar with home and small networking jobs, but one of the jobs that I am getting ready to do entails networking 12 computers, and getting a singular internet connection for all of them to share. I am trying to find the best, and most cost efficient way to do this.

Here is one of the options that I was considering due to its availability of 13 LAN ports:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N8...

Does this work for what I want it to? Is there any better ideas, or a better way overall to do this job? Please let me know. Any information that you could give me would be great, I am 18 and would like to take in all of the knowledge that I can. Thank you all so much for your time.

  • 2010 Dawes Lightning DLX?

Hello all, I am looking for some information on the 2010 Dawes Lightning DLX road bike, I am sure I like the sport of road biking, I am just unsure about spending $700 on a bike. I know that there is always used, but I have looked, and for the money, all I can find is downtube shifters, and other old, bad equipment for the same price. Thanks for the input.

  • Inexpensive Road Bicycle?

I am looking to take a dip into road cycling and would like to see if I can find a NEW road bike for under $550. Here is one of the options that I have been looking at,

    http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-ALUMINUM-ROAD-RACING-BIKE...

I know that the frames are mass produced, and made in another country, but that does not bother me, I am just looking for a cheap road bike. I have also taken a look at the LBS and Cragslist in Phoenix Az, and have not found any incredible deals on any cycles. Can anyone who has experience with the Dawes Lightning DLX, or any other cheaper road bike from bikesdirect.com give me a little bit of input, and let me know what I should do. I just need the bike to last for a couple of years. Finally, I have taken a look at the Trek 1.1 and 1.2, the Felt F90, and the Giant OCR 2 and 3, and those are just a little bit out of the area that I want to spend, can anyone help me out!! Thank you all so much for your time!

  • Dual Boot Ubuntu, Windows 7, and Windows XP?

Ok, so I have two different drives, one 250 GB HDD and one 32 GB SSD. I started out with Windows 7, and then installed Windows XP on the 250 GB HDD. Then, today, I installed Ubuntu on a 10 GB partion on the 32 GB SSD. The only problem is when I plug in both drives it boots but only with the option of the GRUB menu, and only loading the 10 GB Ubuntu. Is there any way that anyone can help me. Also, I in the future, I would like to re-install the new Windows 7 RC or wait until the actual software is released, so I will need to get the Windows 7 Beta off of my drive, can someone help me with this so that the problem that I am having now does not happen in the future? Thank you all so much for your time.

Ok, so I have a question. I have a Schwinn Midtown and I love it. The only problem is that headwinds suck with this bike. • Bicycle Rear Casette?

Ok, so I have a Schwinn Midtown that I bought from Costco. I have all of the stock parts except I changed the tires. I find that now when I peddle the bicycle goes too slow in 21st gear and I would like to know what I can do to make it (harder) to peddle in order to speed up the bicycle. Is there something that I can do in the Rear Casette? Please help me, I really have no clue what to do.

I have a Schwinn Mid-Town bicycle that I bought from Costco and I am wondering if I can put a new pair of rims on it? The bottom line is the tires are 26*1.95 and I would like to get down to 26*1.25 or less. Is there any possible way to do this? Even if I have to chage the rim that is ok? • Best Type Of Bicycle Tire?

I was wondering, I have a Schwinn Mid-town bicycle that I got from Costco and it has a 26*1.95 tire on it and I was wondering, with the stock rim how low can I go on the width 1.25??? Also with this bicycle is there anyway to adjust the front suspension fork? Finally, is there anything that I can to to make this bicycle easier to ride, and a little faster, I know that the most improvement will come from the rider but I just want it to be easier to maintain speed on the road. Tube and/or tire reccomentions would be great. Thank you for your time!!!!!
