I just heard that I have been hired for a job in America this summer, and have really no idea what type of visa I will need to apply for before I go.

The job is only a temporary thing for up to 2 months starting mid-August; I am currently a student living in Northern Ireland but I will be graduating before I go and start this job so I'm not sure if there is a certain student/graduate type of visa I would need.

I have tried looking pretty much everywhere online and there seem to be so many different visa types that I'm now just confused! My employer said they weren't sure but thought it may be the J-1 visa, although after checking this out I've found that this type requires a sponsor or for me to be a part of some work programme. The particular job I've got is not a US programme, I am working for an Irish company that will be travelling to the US and making sales, so I don't think this makes me eligible for the J-1.

Does anyone have any idea what visa I need? Or could you direct me to somewhere I can find more information on this?

So after a little accident with my contraception during sex last night, I decided to take the morning after pill Levonelle 1500 just as a precaution. What I am worried about is that in the little information leaflet that came with it, it says that a possible side effect is feeling sick or actually physically vomiting afterwards and says "If you are sick (vomit) within three hours of taking the tablet, you should immediately take another tablet."

After I took the tablet I did feel nauseous for a while, but didn't vomit. Later I went for a lie down and a nap, and when I woke up it was about ~5 hours after taking the tablet, but then the nausea hit me again and I did throw up.

I know 5 hours is longer than it says on leaflet, but I just want to be sure is there any chance at all that the pill won't have been absorbed and worked in this time? I just don't want to take any risks and need to know if I'll have to go and get another tablet.

Okay so I'm a 19 year old girl and after a weird sex experience last night I'm beginning to think there's something really wrong with me. Last night I met a guy out and, long story short, we hit it off and headed back to his place. Everything was going great until we actually came to having sex, like I literally couldn't get him inside me. I'd like to be able to blame it on him, but it definitely wasn't, he was all there and ready to go, but as soon as we went for it I just seemed to tighten up and it didn't work...

I have only had sex a couple of times before but this was the first time in about 6 or 7 months. And I have kinda noticed this before, but didn't think anything of it because I thought it might just be because I was new to it and maybe a bit nervous. Last night I wasn't nervous though, I was completely relaxed and it still happened! I ended up just really embarrassed, got upset and just went home, and now I'm still cringing and don't think I could face him again! Its destroying my confidence that this keeps happening, and now I genuinely think there's something medically wrong with me.

Can anyone enlighten me about this at all? And if you know anything about why this happens, is there anything I can do to stop it?

I've always heard that brushing your teeth right after eating can damage them so you're supposed to wait a little while beforehand, but recently I heard that swirling a bit of bicarbonate of soda with water around your mouth neutralises the acid and makes it safe to brush. I have quite weak enamel on some of my teeth so if this was true it would be very helpful, but I've been looking at different sources online and keep coming across conflicting information.

Half of people are saying that it's good for your teeth and the other half seem to say it can lead to even faster decay of your teeth...

Does anyone know the real answer to this?? It is something I would consider trying as I hear that it can also whiten your teeth but I don't want to risk it if it's potentially damaging!

So I've been broken up with my ex for about 8 months now an although I've only seen him once in this time, we've remained fairly friendly. We both really wanted to catch up with each other so I've organised a little movie night with him this week. I didn't really have any concerns until recently when I've been chatting to him on facebook, and he keeps bringing up sex, even if its jokingly because the last time we had a movie night together, we were still a couple and we did end up sleeping together..

We do chat quite a lot and I know that he hasn't been with any other girls since we split, and I haven't been with any other guys either, but I couldn't get back together with him because the reason we broke up is because I moved away for uni, and I'm only going to be home for summer. Now I'm just worried this little reunion will bring back old feelings and something might happen between us. Is meeting up with him and trying to remain friends a bad idea?

I have been trying to explain a meme I saw to my brother because the other day he pretty much re-enacted the expression in it, but now I can't seem to find a picture online anywhere to show him. It's the one with a black guy, it looks as if he's staring at a screen in the first shot looking excited/expectant, then there's a second shot where his face has dropped and he looks kinda dumbfounded and disappointed, this is sometimes but not always followed by an image of a TV or computer being thrown out a window.

I am trying to figure out the best value for money dyes to buy as I am starting up a business selling tie dyed t shirts, but most packs of powder dye seem to be quite small, and I was wondering if anyone knows how many t shirts I could dye using one 50g packet of powder??

I am trying to start up a little business selling tie-dyed t shirts, and while I know of some of the tie-dye kits available like Jacquard, these are quite hard to get hold of in the UK and work out quite expensive! Does anyone know where I can buy larger quantities of dye for decent/low prices in the UK or N. Ireland? and can you recommend any particular brands?

I was just bought a box of See's Candies and have never tried them but was wary when I saw the scotchmallows as I'm not sure if they'd contain gelatine like a lot of marshmallows do.. I'm vegetarian so wouldn't want to eat these particular sweets if they were made from gelatine or other such animal products. I've tried looking for ingredients online but can't find them anywhere, does anyone know?

I will be starting up a radio show soon on my university's radio station and need to come up with a good name for it!

It will be Sunday night show from 9-10pm and will be very music-orientated, mostly rock / alternative / old classics, with some random chat and occasional concert/ TV/ film reviews added in.

I want it to be an upbeat, noisy and energetic show with the theme that the weekend isn't over yet, so I want the show title to reflect this...

There's this guy who I've known and liked for quite a while and only recently he told me that he really liked me back. Things were going really well between us but it seemed like he was never going to ask me out, so I went ahead and asked him. He told me that a few months ago he was sort of 'with' another girl, and he slept with her just the once. He asked her if she had anything, and was being safe as anyone would, and she denied that she had anything, but then the condom split, and a few days later he found out he had caught herpes from her. This guy told me that this was the only reason he hadn't asked me out, because he liked me way too much to put me through this or put me at any risk. Also he says that he really regrets this and feels disgusted at himself because now he can't ask out someone he really likes, he said that about me. I really don't know what I should do about this situation. I've never felt the way I do about him with anyone else and still think I'd like to start something with him. I just know that in time the relationship would become sexual and really don't know what I should do about this. I realise that herpes is incurable, so this problem won't go away. But is there any way that it could be prevented from spreading? I know that condoms can protect a bit, but never completely. I'm so confused right now. This one piece of news could stop me from entering into a really great relationship and I don't want that to happen because I really love this guy! Any advice on what I could or should do? And if there's any way to help stop me from also catching herpes from him? Also just how effective are condoms at preventing the spread of herpes?

i am 17 and i always knew about how girls have a hymen and this is broken after the first time you have sex, but have also heard that most girls have already broken theirs before having sex, through exercises eg. cycling. so having known about this, i assumed that maybe mine was already broken, but last night i was in bed with my boyfriend for the first time and although we didn't have sex, we were naked and he did put his finger in my vagina. this morning when i went to the bathroom i noticed staining in my pants, like light brown/reddish bleeding, which kept going lightly for most of today and it was a bit painful when i used the toilet. the 'bleeding' DEFINITELY wasn't my period, was this from my hymen breaking? and is it normal to experience some pain while peeing after something like that? how long will i be sore? and lastly am i still a virgin after this?

i have been a vegetarian only since the start of this year, and only tracked down some tofu the other day, but now i've got it, i don't know what to make with it! i know you squeeze all the water out then marinate it as it soaks up flavours, but what kind of marinade is good? the only one i've heard about is soy sauce, and that would work well in a stir-fry, but are there any other flavours that go well with tofu so i can use it in some different dishes? thanks for any suggestions :)

last night when i was out with all my girlfriends we were in a nightclub and about halfway through the night my friend fixed me up with this guy, who's the same age as me and it turned out we do have a few mutual friends. we ended up dancing for a bit, and he kissed me. for a while after this he went back to dance and hang out with his other friends, so i was thinking maybe that was just a one-off kind of thing, but then later in the night he came back and started properly chatting me up, kissed me again and got my number. afterwards i didn't really see him and just went home. after i'd got home and was about to get into bed, my phone went off and it was a text from him, just to say hi and make sure i got home ok, then we ended up having a text-conversation for about an hour, just finding out basic stuff about each other and all, nothing serious but at the end of every text he put a 'xx', does this mean anything?

i haven't heard from him at all today, but i'm not overly worried, maybe he's just trying not to be too forward or something? anyway, i'd really like to talk to him again, even if its just a text, and maybe meet up some time. is it too soon to get back to him tomorrow? and what should i say to him?

i have been a vegetarian for just 8 months now, but i've only recently tried tofu in a restaurant and absolutely loved it. i want to buy tofu and try cooking with it but i don't remember ever seeing it in my local tesco, just a lot of quorn products and im NOT looking for the quorn chicken-style pieces. i'm not sure if they stock it or else i just overlooked it. does anyone know if most tesco stores stock tofu, or else do asda or sainsburys? (these are the only supermarkets i live nearby) whereabouts in the shop would the tofu be? eg. freezers / refrigerator etc. and are there any popular brands you can recommend or that i should look out for?

i've never tried gnocchi before, but the other days i bought a packet when shopping and really want to try making it. does anyone know any good recipes for a nice sauce to go with my store-bought gnocchi? i never really like jars of pasta sauce that you can buy as i find them a bit fake and salty tasting so want to make this all from scratch. oh and also i'm a vegetarian so meat-free suggestions would be much appreciated :) thank you!
