What to do when anti depressants don't work?
I feel like I have tried ALL of them. I'm serious. Nothing works anymore. I've made a dr. appointment for tomorrow morning because I am so depressed I can't stand myself, but I don't know what he can do for me. I've tried them all. They either didn't work at all, had horrible side effects, or would work for a short time and then quit working altogether. I've been to therapy, it didn't help at all. I'm wondering if there could be more wrong with me than just depression? I don't understand why nothing works. help!
4 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoQuestion for those with adult ADD. What were your symptoms?
I'm a little concerned that I might have ADD and was wondering what your symptoms, stories, lives are like living with ADD. Do you take medication and if so, does it help? I know I don't have the ADHD as I usually have a low energy level. Thanks for your help!
3 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoNeed help on my car loan - is this normal?
Ok, I purchased a car last spring and have paid over $3000 down on it so far. I called today to get the payoff on the car since I just received my statement and noticed that my ENTIRE payment last month went to interest. (I have a very high interest rate due to bad credit I'm trying to rebuild). Then she tells me the payoff is MORE than the loan I took out for the car. So I have NO equity in the car at all. She said it being something like a simple interest loan and that if I'm ever late, I'm charged $14 a day in interest. Is this normal/legal?
5 AnswersBuying & Selling1 decade agoChantix and depression? Anyone have any experience?
I just started taking Chantix to quit smoking, but I'm a little nervous as I read in the pamphlet that it can be really bad for people with depression/mental health issues. I suffer from depression and anxiety, but am on medications for both. Do you think the Chantix could make me more depressed? I know everyone's different, but I just wondered if anyone who was depressed took Chantix and it either worked or made their depression worse.
Thanks so much!
1 AnswerMental Health1 decade agoWhat do you make of this? I'm so very hurt...?
I just got back from lunch with my live-in boyfriend. We're just chatting away and then he says something about how he always gets ugly waitresses everywhere he goes (very rude and judgmental and I told him so). He said "you know, sometimes I wish I was still single and could go out and do what I wanted. See if I could still pick up girls and get numbers, you know that kind of thing." I said "so go. We can both just do our own thing for a while" totally fronting because inside I'm appalled. My birthday was last week and he spoiled me rotten and I was starting to feel even closer to him, we've talked about getting marriedl next year, etc. So then he says "no, that's not what I'm saying...it's an ego thing. I just want to see if I'm still attractive to the opposite sex". I said do I not make you feel attractive? And he said yes, of course you do because you're with me. And I said and do you find me attractive? and he said yes, but alot of your ex's are ugly so I'm wondering if I'm ugly too.
What the crap does this mean? Is he just totally off his rocker or what? I am blown away and don't know what to think. Any advice is appreciated.
BTW: We've been together almost a year, living together since April.
