2 AnswersPolls & Surveys5 years agoWhat's the relationship between the Presence and the One Above All?
DC and Marvel claim that each one rules the "omniverse" (every reality ever). They can't be the same being, since they're from two different companies. So what's the relationship between the two? For that matter, what's the relationship between them and other godlike beings from other works? How can they all be the absolute rulers of everything if each one is supposed to be on top, with no room for anyone else?
1 AnswerComics & Animation5 years agoWhy is Batman always wrong?
About half of Batman's storylines involve someone (usually the Bat-Family) calling him out or telling him how stupid and wrong he is. Why is it always Batman's fault? Why are Superman, Wonder Woman, or the rest of the Bat-Family NEVER at fault? Does Batman only exist to make them look better?
3 AnswersComics & Animation5 years agoDo all the Call of Duty games take place in the same universe?
Is "Advanced Warfare" what happens after the "Black Ops" games? Do all the WW2 and "Modern Warfare" lead into Black Ops and AW? Is "Infinite Warfare" in the distant future of the same world?
2 AnswersVideo & Online Games5 years agoShould I write superhero fiction?
It's been a dream of mine to write superhero fiction for years. The problem is, the Internet has a metric ton of articles deconstructing superheroes and saying why they're a bad idea. I like the idea of superheroes, but I don't want to write something that's been deconstructed and proven to be bad. What should I do?
1 AnswerBooks & Authors5 years agoDid there used to be male concubines?
I'm working on a fic about time travel, and I need to know if there were any queens or princesses in the past that had male concubines in the same way that kings had female concubines
3 AnswersHistory5 years agoIs there a way to have a villain admit that he or she is evil and have it be taken seriously?
Generally, villains don't consider themselves evil. So can you have a villain believably acknowledge him or herself as evil? For example, would it work if he or she just doesn't care, or is so sadistic and twisted that they PREFER that label?
10 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years agoWhat caused "Age of Ultron" to be as bad as it was?
How could Joss Whedon, the guy that made the first Avengers so awesome, suddenly change gears and give us AoU? How does that even happen? Why didn't he know better?
4 AnswersComics & Animation5 years agoWhy does Batman keep making the same mistakes when fighting Superman?
In the movie, his suit had a huge hole that Superman could punch through, he didn't make it strong enough to fight on equal terms, he didn't have a way to guard against heat vision, he misused the kryptonite he had, and the list goes on. Batman is supposed to be smart, so why does he keep making all these dumbass mistakes?
3 AnswersComics & Animation5 years agoWhat happened to Person of Interest?
For four years the show was fine. But this year the show got canceled, its final season cut in half, and no one even knows when it will air. Why?
4 AnswersDrama5 years agoDoes anyone know what this animation is called?
Years ago my friend showed me a YouTube video that looked like a fan project. It looked like every superhero ever was somehow fighting every supervillain all at once. I don't know the name, so I haven't been able to find it since. Does anyone know what it is?
1 AnswerComics & Animation5 years agoDoes writing realistically ever get tiring?
When you write, does it ever get frustrating when you try to write something cool but you can't because it's not realistic, and the realistic move would be boring? How do you deal with it?
1 AnswerBooks & Authors5 years agoCan computers and smartphones be hacked if they're turned off or their wireless settings have been set to "off"?
I've been hearing a lot about all the things hackers can do to your system. So can they really do things like infiltrate your phone or computer if you don't physically remove the wireless or power supply? And can the NSA really turn on your phone's microphone if you don't take out the battery?
4 AnswersSecurity5 years agoHow does Batman plan to take down the Justice League if he has to?
I've heard that there's some storyline in DC where someone steals Batman's files on how to take down the Justice League. How did the files say to take out heroes like Superman, Wonder Woman, and the Flash?
1 AnswerComics & Animation5 years agoWould I get sued for using a name for a different purpose in my book?
I'm writing a book about an evil organization called XION, but just recently I found out there are two unrelated characters out there that are each called Xion. Is my use different enough, or would I get sued if I tried to use the name for an organization instead of a character?
(I know there's SPECTRE in the James Bond mythos, which is also a rank in Mass Effect (Spectre), so I have no idea how name copyrights work)
4 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years agoWhen writing a book, how do you give your villain enough appearances without killing her?
If the villain and the hero encounter each other, how do you plausibly have them interact without one killing the other, especially in a setting where the two would often actively fight if they ever met? If the hero gets away, the villain looks weak, but if she kills the hero, the book is over. Any suggestions?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years agoDoes PTSD and related problems ALWAYS affect soldiers that have seen action, or are there some that just aren't bothered by it?
I'm a writer, and I'm trying to figure out if superheroes would get PTSD, or if human-level characters could possibly go on world-saving adventures without having problems at some point

19 AnswersPolls & Surveys5 years agoIf Batman really has files on how to take down the Justice League, why does it never work when he's fighting Superman?
The comics constantly tell us that Batman is incredibly smart, so why is it that whenever he fights Superman, he never uses his supposed file on how to beat him? About all he ever does is use a set of power armor (which suspiciously never has kryptonite weapons). BUT DC likes to hammer it in that this never works. So why doesn't Batman ever come up with a real way to beat Superman? (I'm surprised he never invented a weapon that forcibly removes Superman's solar energy)
