Let A be a 2x2 symmetrical matrix. Find all posibilities for A such that A^2 = 0?
I am confused. I thought that doing a (2x2) (2x2) matrix would produce another 2x2 matrix. Therefore, how will I ever get 0 as an answer? Thanks.
3 AnswersMathematics5 years agoDerivative question?
Set h(x)=1+f(x)/g(x), where f and g are functions that satisfy
f(2)=2, f′(2)=3, g(2)=4 and g′(2)=1.
I am looking for h'(2)
My answer was 13/4, but it is wrong. I don't understand how to do this problem.

The vectors u and -3u are parallel, in opposite directions and collinear?
I am pretty sure that they are but just need confirmation. Thanks.

I was thinking it would be f(x) = -2(x-3)^2 +30
But I am not sure.

A) none of these answers
B) horizontal translation of 3 units to the left, vertical translation of 2 units upward and reflection about the x -axis
C) horizontal translation of 3 units to the left, vertical translation of 2 units upward
D) horizontal translation of 3 units to the left, vertical translation of 2 units upward, reflection about the y-axis
E) horizontal translation of 3 units to the right, verticsl translation of 2 units upward and reflection about the x-axis

I would go with none of these answers, based on what I know about a,b,h,k. Then again, i'm hesitant between A and B ...
Please help. Thanks. I don't even need a long explanation. Just the answer.
2 AnswersMathematics6 years agoLet f(x) = square root of x-10 and g(x) = x^2+9 . Which of the following statements are true?
The four statements are:
1. f of g(1) =0
2. f of g(10) =9
3. f of g(x) = f(g(x))=f(x^2+9) = square root of x^2+9
4. the function g is the inverse function of f
1 AnswerMathematics6 years agoMy dog is VERY scared of other dogs?
I have a 6 month old border collie / australian shepard mix. He weighs about 33 pounds. Yesterday, we brought him to the dog park, thinking we were doing a nice thing. We decided to bring him to the under 30 llb section, because he is still a puppy and the big dogs were playing very rough. There was a tiny little pomerainian dog, who came over to play with my dog. My dog ran away as fast as he could, tail between his legs (this other dog weighed maximum like 5-7 llbs)
Another dog came, and mine was just as scared. He spent most of the time hiding under a picnic table. He is nice with people, but extremely scared of other dogs.
We would like to socialize him, and get him used to being with other dogs. We were thinking of bringing him back to the dog park to get him used to it, but we don't want to be mean to him (he was very stressed out)
What should we do? Maybe i could have a friend bring her dog (a small one) to our house so he could meet a dog at our house, where he feels comfortable?
I appreciate all suggestions, thanks.

3 AnswersPolls & Surveys8 years agoShould I wrap my wrist or not?
I smashed my wrist very hard. It hurts to move it. I wrapped it (so it can't move) for two days now. My mom says I shouldn't wrap it, it needs to move to heal (clearly she doesn't feel my wrist pain)
Should I be wrapping it or not? I didn't break it since it still does move.
