  • Older movie, anyone remember it?

In the 60's or 70's, there was a movie on tv about a mountain man. He came into town and there was a man who owed a card debt. All he had to pay his debt with was his daughter. He gave the daughter, kicking and screaming, to the mountain man. The movie was mostly about their life on the mountain, and she ended up having to chop off the mountain man's leg to save his life. I think he ended up telling her she could go home (or maybe he did die), so one of the last scenes was her coming down the mountain with fur clothes and a baby in a hide. (Or that could have been the end of another movie, LOL, and I mixed up the two) Anyone remember this movie, and hopefully the title of it????

  • High Thyroid Antibody Levels?

This week we finally got the test results back from the doc. Hubby's Thyroglobulin Antibodies are 1087, reference range <20 IU/mL and the Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies are >1000, reference range <35 IU/mL. He has a TSH 27.36, reference range is 0.4 - 4.5 mIU/L.

We are scheduled for an Endo's visit next week. In view of the number above, what questions should I ask the Endo? Any input on what the Endo might tell us?

Also, hubby has osteoporosis recently diagnosed with a DEXA scan. I've read online that if one has Hashimoto's or Osteoporosis, one should get checked for Celiac. Well, I suspect he has both. What do I need to say/do to convince the Endo to order a Celiac Blood panel?

    Appreciate any input!!!!
