I'm going to basic 18JUN13 and I do not have a driver's license. When would I be able to get a license once I'm in? At Tech School? or when I get to my first base assignment? Or neither?

I'm leaving to bmt 18JUN13 and I just want to check that I'm ready to leave.

As of now, I can

-run 1.5 miles in 9:47 minutes

-do 30-40 push-ups

-do 60 sit-ups in a minute

- 10+ pullups

Do you think I'm fit enough for BMT? Based on this information, sorry I know its not much.

Also, any extra information about USAF bmt would be great.

And please, if you haven't been to Air Force bmt, I do not want to hear what you have to say, especially if you're just gonna say "USAF bmt is so easy compared to Marines" or "Air Force, more like Chair Force" or something ignorant like that.

So I've been the DEP commander for about a couple of months, since about 2 weeks after being sworn into DEP in Feb. and I just wanted to know some information about what I'm suppose to do.

Already, Every Tuesday I run PT sessions and check all the recruits weight/ height to see if they meet the height/ weight ratio, and also I host 2 extra sessions for a total of 3 for those who don't meet it and need to lose weight or people who just want to improve overall fitness.

Can anyone give me extra information on how to be a better DEP?

Also, does being DEP commander have any similarity to Dorm Chief in BMT?

About a little more than a month ago, I acquired AFSC 1A331 airborne mission systems apprentice and I just wanted to know if this will be definite and/ or guaranteed once I go and graduate from basic military training?

Make-up to me is just a pathetic excuse to be accepted by the conformist part of society.

Women say they do it because it makes them feel pretty and gives them more confidence... But its not 'them' its only the makeup manifesting that temporary 'pretty?' Why do you Need confidence to get with a guy that only wants to have sex with you...makes no sense. I'm just extrapolating here, please, inform me of your thoughts.

Me and my recruiter joke around a lot, and I wasn't sure if he was joking or being serious about men not having privacy when taking showers...

I'm trying to get in shape/ fit for Air force basic military training:

So you can have an idea where I'm at, fitness wise:

I'm 6'3, 193 pounds - I'm slender/ skinny

- 30-35 push-ups

- 60+ sit-ups

- I can run 1.5 miles in a little less than 11 minutes; I can run for about 45 minutes at an easy pace.

Any, opinions would be greatly appreciated. Also, what should I do at the gym to get fit?

We have been friends for a few years, and I never really considered her as an option for a romantic relationship, but now for the past few months, she's all I think about. I know for a fact that I love her, and that I'm not infatuated by some fictitious emotions.

The reason I'm questioning whether or not to tell her is because I don't want to ruin our friendship if the feelings of love aren't mutual. If I can't date her, then being friends would suffice, I'd rather that then nothing at all.

I recently just acquired my AFSC of 1A331 and I need some information from anyone experienced in this career field or who knows a plethora of information on this particular career field.

Some questions if you wouldn't mind answering:

How long is training?

What will I be doing in this field?

Is it something to look forward to?

What is flight pay?

What is flight training?

Will I be trained to use a parachute?

Much extra information would be greatly appreciated!

So I have been in MEPS for about a month now and I received a call from a woman saying that she was an investigator for the Air Force and that she needs to meet with me for interview or a meeting of some sort.

I want to know if any of you have had any such encounters and what I should expect from this meeting.

I 've talked to my recruiter about it but he doesn't really know for sure, only that recruits are randomly selected.
