  • Military Member Child Support?

To make a long story short: I divorced my ex-wife in 14 years ago in the state of Florida. We had three kids of which I paid support for. Because I am military, I have been moving continually through the years and have been paying my child support. A couple of years ago, my ex took me back to court for child support modification in a different state (MA) and it was that was solved. Now cut to present, now the state of florida has been telling me that I have lien on my property due to past balance child support (because I haven't paid my child support through them??). Despite the fact that I've been paying my childhood support, neither my ex-wife and I reside in FL, and the modification (of which I am now paying) went through the state of Massachusetts.

    Question regarding that:

-Does Florida still have the jurisdiction over the court and have the right to place the lien on my property?

-Is there any way to transfer it (I thought it would automatically since we went to MA for the modification)?

-On top of it, I've been paying child support for my oldest who is 20 for the past two years and nothing has been done about it.

Second question: In my original divorce settlement, my ex-wife was awarded a part of my military pension for five years despite the fact that we were married only 4 1/2 years and is now re-married? I've been trying to fight this, but can anyone help - advice wise?

    Thank you!!!

  • Buying a cellphone online?

I lost my samsung vibrant last night and suspended the account, etc. Now, I am in the process of trying to buy a phone online for a relatively decent price (I would love another vibrant - but I'm realistic) to last me. I've been trying amazon.com and someone recommended chinavasion.com and e-bay (which I'm more skeptical of). Are there anymore websites? Did anyone ever buy a phone online, how was your experience? Do you know of those websites above. Anything would be appreciated, thanks!

  • Compaq Notebook laptop warranty?

Okay, I got my Compaq Notebook laptop in December '08. Just recently my charger stopped working and won't charge at all, although a few days before it would work then stop charging in till you moved it a bit and it would go back to charging. Now I was wondering my Compaq Notebook Laptop warranty cover the charger replacement?

  • Favorite Vampire-movie character ?

So what's everyone favorite character in a vampire flick? Doesn't always have to be the main character or such.

Mine would have to be Viktor from Underworld, David from Lost Boys....just all the lost boys, jerry in Fright Night, The Frog Brothers in Lost Boys, etc. I'll stop now ;)

  • College deadlines and transcript ?

Problem: The deadline to my College application is two days away. My application is finished and everything. I'm just wondering if they would accept my transcript late. My school is slow, so if I give it to them tomorrow, it would most likely get to UMASS, Amherst (the one I'm applying to) in a few days after the deadline. Would they mind? Or do they require it be there the deadline is?

  • What is considered "lab" sciences? ?

I'm currently applying to UMASS Amherst, which requires 3 sciences, 2 of which lab. I have taken Earth Science, Physical Science and Biology. Would that be considered enough? Or am I missing one?

I have my cousin to blame for this :p Any way, what does my "personality" mean with those signs? I know Libras tend to be outgoing, but then I have Capricorn which doesn't exactly have that reputation, then Pisces....which is emotional :D

  • Venus zodiac sign: Virgo ?

It doesn't really sound that great of a ''love" sign. But can anyone tell me more about it? Maybe I'm just missing out on the good stuff. Detailed answers are awesome. Also talk about what your Venus zodiac sign is.

  • Massachusetts residency ?

In Feb. of '08 I was forced to move from Massachusetts to NC (military). Now that I am applying for college, I was wondering if I could still claim MA residency so that I could pay in-state intution. Now I've lived in MA combined around...16 years, born, raised and lived only 2 1/2 out of the state. So can I still claim residency there.

  • Help choosing book(s) ?

Okay, so for an English project, I have to read two books that are basically Parallel to one another, but written in different times. But I'm having bit of a hard time choosing between these two choices:

King Lear and A thousand acres

    or

Jane Eyre and Wide Sargasso Sea

Now I've always wanted to read King Lear and found the storyline interesting. But I've already read Jane Eyre and find the story of the other "woman's tale" quite intriguing.

So has anyone read these books (A thousand acres, king lear, and wide sargasso sea)? If you have, which ones would you recommend? So review away! Detailed answers (about why you liked it, why you wouldn't recommend it, etc.) would be great!

  • Help with preparing for the SATs? ?

Okay, in October I'm going to take my SAT for the first time (This year is my senior year). Is there any books or websites (I'm currently with College board and their daily SAT questions) that could help with studying for the SATs? Also, is the SATs hard? Easy? In between? All that you can provide about the SATs could help big time! Thanks in advance.
