  • child still has swollen lymph nodes 3 months after surgery?

my son is 20 months old - he had a second cranial vault reconstruction the end of nov 2011. after the surgery the lymph nodes in the right side of his neck were swollen - the dr said that was normal .... its three and a half months out of surgery and it seems like the left side is starting to have swollen lymph nodes and on the right side above his pelvic bone is a swollen node as well.

problem is the surgery was done in the states - and now we are living in new Zealand so he has seen a completely different Dr + we are supposed to wait 6 months till he sees a specialist...

I emailed the Dr who did the surgery about it and she seemed unconcerned , but i feel i have a right to worry . please any thoughts on this?

  • 9 month old with temper tantrums?

my little girl just turned 9 months old and has the most horrible temper, and i was wondering if that s normal at her age .... if i take anything away from her, if if i offer her food and she isn't hungry , if i try to hold her and she wants on the floor, if i leave her with anyone, if i try to get her to take a nap when she isn't sleepy, even if i turn on the tv and she wants it off.... anything that isn't her way she screams and flails around like shes desperate and will hit things with her hands or if im holding her she puts her arms in the air and throws her whole body around ... what can i do to help her work out this behavior? and is it normal this early on to have temper tantrums? when shes happy she is wonderful to be around and smiles and laughs...

  • 6 week old wih bowel problems?

ok i have a 6 week old, i live in iquitos peru and i have taken her to the doctor... she has had problems pooping since she was 2 weeks old and it is getting worse, she strains so hard constantally and cries because of it all the time. when it comes out though it is soft and normal. the doctor said she had lazy intestines the first time, i took her back yesterday and she was so swollen he was really worried, so he tried to get her to poop using a thermometer and she wouldnt so he ended up giving her an enema... he said she had something wrong with her intestines and then sent her home with gas medicine .

it helps with gas but this morning she is straining just as hard and is swollen up again. i have given her glycerin suppositorys i have given her pedialyte, i walk with her all the time, i rub her tummy with oil, i move her legs i have tried a q-tip , the pharmacy gave me medicine to help her go and it didnt work..i dont know what to do.i am thinking about taking her to the states
