LAN Machines can't access website?
I have 3 machines on a LAN using a DLink router. One of the machines has a web server running. If I type the local ip address of the server machine on any of the LAN machines, I can access the site. But I cannot access it using the external IP of the router.
The problem is that everyone else CAN access the website externally. And if I use a proxy site (I used ctunne.com), I can access it on a LAN machine,
Any suggestions?
2 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoWhy an XP computer can't connect to the workgroup?
I have 3 computers running windows XP on my LAN. Suddenly,, my main machine will not connect to other computers in the workgroup. I can ping them, I can connect to the router, ad to the internet, but not to other computers.
Going through the network browser, I can access my workgroup, but can't even see my own machine. Net View lists no results, when I should at least see myself.
Workgroup name is correct
NetBIOS over TCP IP is on
No firewalls are running anywhere
Trying to browse a computer directly using \\<computername> will not work
"Client for Microsoft Networks" is enabled in the network connection properties
The only way I can see my own machine is if I look for computers using Windows Search. I can open it, access its shares, but I can't find either of the other computers.
I am at a loss. Any suggestions would help
3 AnswersComputer Networking1 decade agoWhat would you recommend as a blog site?
I want to set up a blog. I would like to have a certain control over who can see the blog and who can comment on it. I have already tried Blogger, which is too open for me. LiveJournal is my current choice, but I find it awkward.
Can you recommend any other blog sites?
