I am age 59 and retired now living in the Philippines...
We have been renting a house in the Philippines .The owners were out of country but are now here again.We are seeking information on repairs?
It was dry season when we rented but now rainy season and we are living in a 4 room shower !
The owners have seen the problem last month over 30 days ago and said it would be fixed. But nothing is getting fixed. Besides moving out what are our OPTIONS to get t done ? Can I legally fix it myself and not pay rent up to the repairs cost ?

I entered the Philippines April 2,2010 on a 59 day visa. Due to a situation that I believed was being paid every 3 months I find now that the person I was living with and trusted with my passport and money did not ever pay the extension fees. I am therefore now GUILTY of 2.9 years OVER STAY.... I have looked at the immigration site and seem to be unable to understand HOW MUCH I OWE TO THEM for this amount of time,,,,,
