the only difference between it working and not working, is that I replaced the values (as integers) with the strings. What am I missing in here? I have both brackets [ ] and I think I have all of the ( ) . I just typed over the integer values with strings and changed IntVar to StrVar

I am teaching an electrical troubleshooting workshop to highschool students in a few weeks, and am planning using a simple circuit such as a lamp, power source, and resistor to show them the difference between opens and shorts, but what would be a good circuit to use so I can show them the difference between troubleshooting and "easter egging", I'm more of a do-er than a show-er, so I'd appreciate any help, thanks. I learned on a NIDA, but I don't have one to take with me.

I'm using a 555 timer to make flashing lights for a theater prop but I want a certain frequency I just don't know which one. I know the equation for finding frequency but I'm having problems "visualizing" the frequency, is there a website or program somewhere I can use to adjust my "capacitors" and "resistors" and find the frequency and "see" what "# Hz" looks like? I only have enough money to get the capacitors and resistors I need and a few spares, I don't want to buy one of every kind and I don't want to buy a potentiometer either.

I have been to 6 different doctors for my diabetes, and so far none of them have been able to determine how insulin affects me [i.e. units to take for each mg/dL] it has been anywhere between 1 unit for 10 -20 mg/dL, one dr even had me just add 4 to what I take, [ if 300, need to get to 100 so diff is 200 so right now I'd take 20 units + 4 [so 24 units] some days that works somedays not enough, somedays too much

Each dr just shrugs and sends me to another one.... so I think you guys will be more help than these sorry excuse for docs.

Do you ever just get really sick and tired of everyone who finds out you have diabetes telling you the life story of their friend's second cousin 10 times removed who's great aunt had a friend that had diabetes? I mean not literally, but we've all been there, or is it just me?

We have been good friends for over 5 years now. I know for a fact that she doesn't like me romantically. Last night I told her I couldn't talk to her for a bit, until I could lose the hope that was there that she would change her mind about me. Was that the right thing to do or should I go back to her and tell her, I'm fine being friends with her. She knows I like her, but we stayed friends for years after I told her. What do I need to do, she is my absolute best friend.
