they hired a new cashier, she's making more than people who have been there longer (store in question has been open like two years and some change) and now she's complaining that everyone hates her because she makes more than they do 

there are a few employees that are fairly pissed that the newbie is making more than they are. One has only been there a little longer than the cashier in question and the other has also been there since the store opened. All the people involved happen to be female, idk if that is relevant or not.

I work in a different section but our areas overlap so I've been treating this like a show to tune into while I take my break at work but now that the pay rate of the new employee is public knowledge I feel like the pot is about to boil over  management is just ignoring it all

So far I've had two jobs before, both in restaurants. I from 2017-2018 (the company was going under so I left) then I got a job at another restaurant and I've been working there since 2018. 

I know how to put windshield washer fluid in the washer fluid tank and I know how to check what the pressure on a tire is but that is  the end of what I know about cars. What can I do to boost my chances of passing an interview and get hired? 

I got a new bike so I took it out for a ride, my iphone was in my pocket, it fell out at some point, went back to look for it and it was gone. sent my phone a text with my moms phone, the person that found my phone called back and said they were running errands right now and hung up. Mom thinks this is suspicious. it's in lost mode and I can track its location via find m iphone icloud. The person who has my phone is travelling according to find my iphone. I dropped it while on 7th and the phone is near north temple street 

what should I do?

so for the most part my car doesn't really see that many miles aside from maybe one long road trip or two per year but other than that its mostly just short ish trips

I read somewhere that not occasionally taking your car on long hard drives will lead to build up in your car and ruin your car over time 

would taking it  it for a long drive on the freeway occasionally to prevent build be enough as far as like preventative maintenance up or is this not an issue

my car currently runs perfectly fine-obviously if something goes wrong with my car its going to a mechanic I'm just curious about this random thing I read on reddit somewhere

dad says my car is way overdue for an oil change, my plan was wait until the light came on 

I have no idea when my last oil change was. I've had the car a little less than a year and a half

bought the car used from the dealership 

the first time I filed my taxes I got a rather large tax refund-I had no idea what to expect so the refund caught me by surprise.

 I'd bought a car a few months prior to when the first tax refund showed up so I just dumped the entire refund into my savings account-the down payment for my car took a rather large bite out of my savings so I used my tax refund to fatten it up again

big refund and smaller checks the whole year 

or 

bigger checks the whole year and smaller to no refund 

what would you choose and why

I have a stable job that gives me 6 shifts per week and I usually hit a few hours of overtime every paycheck due to the way my shifts are scheduled

So far this year I've made around 9,000 dollars after tax

I have around 20,000 in savings in the bank, still living with my parents (I do pay some bills) and no debt other than my car that I bought last year

I was in a car accident (other party was at fault, had to buy new car, and the down payment was like 8,000 for the car)

I pay more than the minimum car payment every month (I want to pay that car off as fast as possible,) and have no other debts

Yes? No? I'm putting off buying a house because of the car so no mortage yet (houses are really expensive where I live right now, I think I'll re visit the house thing when prices go down more)

Is this a good place to be at?

Just curious to see where other people stand on this

my sister and I still live with our parents. I'm working, my mom is working, my sister is in college (my parents are paying most of tuition costs for her and she isn't working) and my dad will be loosing his job soon due to layoffs

I've been at my new job for a short amount of time but it seems stable i make 10.50 an hour and I'm getting 30 ish hours per week

my parents avoid the subject of money like the plague

how much should I keep in savings vs checking?

I have a little over 1,000 in checking

in savings I have 15,000

I do not have a credit card but I do have a debit card

I held the home and power buttons and it showed me that the battery was super low with the little red lines

hasn't shown me that since

now it's just frozen on black apple logo with white background and the screen flickers occasionally

i've had it plugged into the wall charging for 2 hours now and still nothing

should I go get it looked at by apple or do I just leave it charging longer?

at one point it showed th really low battery icon with the little red bars but now its stuck on a white background with a black apple logo and occsionally the screen goes black before returning to white screen with black apple logo

do I just need to charge it for a really long time or is something wrong?

I ve been working at there for a few months, how long before I start getting floater hours?

Potential new employee

In saw 3 Jigsaw say's that the shotgun collar trap was actually Amanda's test. He starts talking about how she cheated by making the traps impossible to escape where Jigsaw made his traps potentially escapeable.

Can someone explain? I'm confused
