I am assisting my 60 year old mother who is suffering from ALS (Lou Gherigs disease) with her Social Security disability claim. She was diagnosed with the disease in June of 2012. She continued to work till August 2012 when her mobility got bad enough that she could no longer reliably be proficient at her job as an assistant branch manager at a local bank. Before this she had steadily worked for the past 20 years and paid into social security payroll taxes. Last week I took her to the local SS office and I helped her fill out all the papers we were told to fill out. We spoke to the person who took all the information and completed her claim. We were told about SSI and it was explained that it is a separate program from SSDI and that my mother may be eligible for both but my mother was adamant about not wanting to deal with the hassle of more paperwork so she declined SSI benifits and had the rep process only the SSDI claim. We also brought a letter from the doctor about her condition to add to the claim as well all pertinent medical information and contact info for the doctors treating her condition. The lady at the SS office stated that everything seemed fine with the claim as far as having all the info that was needed and stated that she didnt see any reason why it would be denied. Today my mother recieved a letter in the mail from the SS office stating that she was denied SSI benefits because she refused them. Does this affect the claim for SSDI benefits in any way? My mother is worried now. Any help from someone familiar with the claim process for Social Security Disabilty Insurance will be greatly appreciated.

I tried a couple from coolrom but either they would not install properly or I needed a program to decompresss a .rar file which seems like more trouble than its worth. Any help is appreciated thanks in advance and yes I do pick best answers so the best answerer gets points and credit.

Im thinking of a movie from the 80s or early 90s where the characters are safe because thery slept in metal rooms. 2 slept in the projection booth at a theatre. Also at the theatre there was a video game where a girl had all the high scores and got mad cuz somebody elses initials appeared at the top of the high score list. I can only remember vague details about the film and was hoping someone wouls see this and know the title of the film.
