I have been involved with computers since the late 80's and in the IT industry for most of that, working for the government and major industry players. I started answering questions on here because I want to share and help others who are having real problems enjoying their computer experience. I will not answer questions that look like a test question as I don't support cheating. If you want technical details why some product may be better than the other, I'll provide that, but my opinion on some hardware setup or (worse) "a name for FB or a *cool* theme for MySpace" are wastes of time since your preferences probably won't be mine.
Where can I find info on a possibly really old book?
Going through a box of books handed down from family, I cam across what looks to be a very old edition of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" in burgundy cloth with black lettering on the spine. Besides the book title and author's last name is "Houghton Mifflin Co" at the bottom in the black lettering on the spine. Inside it says "The Riverside Press Cambridge" (NO YEAR). One illustration of "the cabin" on one of the pages just before the preface, no other illustrations that I saw quickly looking through the 500 pages.
I'm curious as to the year of printing (as it's not listed)
2 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoWho else thinks a movie based on Halo might be something to see?
I've been seeing the advertisements for the Xbox Halo games and keep thinking that it would possibly make a killer movie, if done right. Deep enough plot to make you care about following the movie, fight scenes, future technology and weaponry... ya I'd either see it in a theater or rent it from Netflix, even though I am not a Microsoft fan.
