We have become a society that no longer favors independent learning at a person's own pace. The current educational system, even in regard to online classes, favors a semester approach. Is intelligence becoming a disability in this country? I do not know, but I am very frustrated with the current educational system.

I am by no means a genius, but for me many classes at the undergraduate level could be completed in about a day. Why then must I attend so many class hours and waste so many hours of unproductive time? Learning should be based on the individual, not this one size fits all systems. If I am able to complete a course in a day, let me.

Does anyone know any solutions to this dilemma? Are there any truly self-paced college degrees that are fully accredited (not those diploma mills). Additionally, are there any organizations lobbying to change the educational system to accommodate this type of problem?
