  • Jeffree Star product selection help! Gift for girlfriend!?

My girlfriend of 2 years is a HUGE fan of Jeffree Star and all his makeup and videos. However, I don't know a damn thing about makeup.

Valentines is coming, and her birthday is a week after. (RIP bank account)

SO, I need some girly advice here because I'm honest to God clueless.

She is 20, Mexican, and with darker skin color, and has really beautiful eyes. She doesn't wear extravagant colored makeup. Just usual standard skin tone makeup? (I'm sure I'm sounding really uncultured in the makeup world right now.) I do notice she LOVES eyeliner. I bought her a "Better than Sex" mascara last year for Christmas and she loves that. She's not a crazy colored makeup person, just the basic skin colored ones. Maybe she'd like the crazy colored ones?

I looked into the mystery boxes that will be released today. But from hearing reviews, it's basically a "leftovers" box? I don't want that.

I keep hearing the alien pallet is good?

I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING! Can you please help me pick out something for her? Price does not matter to me. PLEASE, feel free to drop links below to Jeffree Star's products below.

I will respond to all questions! Thank you!

  • Is it true that, by law, employers are required to pay the difference to reach minimum wage if the server receives no tips?

If this is true, why do servers complain about tips so much?

I heard that if you receive ZERO tips or don't make ENOUGH tips to reach minimum wage, the employer is required to pay the difference?

This means they do NOT make the $4.25 that is "so low". No matter what, by law, they'll be matched by the employer to receive minimum wage?

Is this something waiters and waitresses hide to enforce their "not enough tips" rants?

I'm just curious, let me know!

(and for the love of God, yes I tip, don't get

all salty at me for asking)

  • What's your opinion on the saying, "Don't go out to eat if you can't afford to tip your server."?

Do you think waiters and waitresses have the right to complain when they don't get tipped the "respectable" amount they think they earned?

In my opinion, I don't think waiters and waitresses should "expect" a tip.

I think a majority of servers lose the understanding of a "tip".

A tip is earned through hard work above normal standards.

Many of these servers don't want to do anything more than what their job says to do, and they expect a tip.

In my opinion, I think servers are not happy with their pay and their field of work, so they complain about the customers not supporting them. I think of it as, "you chose this field of work, you have to find a way to deal with it. It is not the worlds fault for your unhappy lifestyle."

Am I missing something? Let me know!

  • Continuous and constant pulsing humming sound coming from computer?

My coworkers computer has a continuous constant pulsing hum to it. About 1 second intervals. Sounds almost exactly like a phone vibration going off. We can't figure it out. It's not the CD drive or coming from the speakers. It's a constant and equal pulse that does not change in speed or sound when starting other applications or doing tasks. Only when the computer is turned on. Any ideas on what this could be?

  • 'Dead' spot in vision?

I'm 22 years old. I'm an Engineer and I'm in front of a computer all day. I've been in front of screens my entire life and never had any vision problems. Up until I got my first job into my field, 1 year later, I have this weird dead spot in my vision. It's basically a black floating dot that appears if I look slightly to the right. This has been going on for over 3 months now and it's just getting annoying. It does not hurt, nor does it give me headaches. Just annoying. I have bought some computer glasses to see if it recovers that dead spot, and no luck. Did I do unrepairabale damage to my eyes from all the years of screens?

Let me know if you have any idea of what this dead spot is! Thank you!
