I'm a Systems Programmer in Washington State. As a US Marine I served from 1981-84. After being married over 21 years I can say the Marines was easier.

  • If Cheney is proved to have lied to the American people in order to attack Iraq. Will you have doubt then?

Will you doubt the lawless nature of this administration if you're finally shown the proof?

I really doubt even a conviction (See Scooter Libby) would sour most neocons devotion to "the administration" even after they all are convicted of war crimes.

So, will Cheney's impeachment or conviction sway your opinion?

  • I really dislike President Bush, but...?

He acted like a President today dancing with the Africans on National Malaria day.

He seemed like a normal guy having fun, I wish the world saw us like this.

If Bush would not of listened to half his bonehead advisor's, he may have done some good. I always said, the man is loyal, that's a rare person in politics.

    Good for you Mr President.

    Sorry, no link yet.

  • Is everyone happy that Cheney and Rove got a smackdown today?

One being investigated. One being served with articles of impeachment.

I like how the Right will react...."stop whining"..."we are at war"...."Liberals are ruining this country"...."let them lie, they are Republicans"...."What about Bill Clinton?".... :^/

If memory serves, presenting information that you know is false to start a war with a country is "A high crime" or at the least killing tens of thousands of people should be a "Misdemeanor"

Hail Bush and his restoring Republican values

  • It's official, Cheney is first to be impeached!?

I posted this yesterday and was told I was insane by the might Right.

The damn will soon break, America is sick and tired of LIES.

    http://blog.washingtonpost.com/sleuth/2007/04/arti...

Watch the news, the articles were just filed.

Also, Rove under investigation by an independent council.

    What a great day!

    Who else is happy!

  • The media is easiy distracted by sensational and trivial events. It's ruined mainstream news.?

The same day of the widespread coverage of the Alec Baldwin phone rant to an 11 year old, the US changed policy in Iraq of emphasizing training of the Iraqi troops and concentrate of the surge approach.

But none of the latter story made the news. Matter of a fact I can't even find the story now. But it happened and now nobody knows except a few.

Its a sad fact that a phone call from a man to his daughter, no matter what the content could have so much coverage while we are supposedly at war.

When I grew up Viet Nam was on the TV every news day. Good and bad news.

Now it is relegated to visits from former POW's and walls being erected in Baghdad as young men die in the void.

Some say why report the bad news? If there is only bad news that's what should get reported. Fox has reporters on the ground, I don't see any triumphant exposes on success? We know they'd report it if it existed.

The American media has lost its backbone and its soul.

NPR, the last vestige of real reporting.

  • Will there finally be an impeachment! My recent letter signals...yes!?

After months of my writing two emails every week to every State and Federal representative, detailing numerous high crimes against the American people by George Bush and Richard Cheney.

    America, we have prevailed!

Many of us have anguished over the enourmous evidence of an agenda of war against the Iraqi government that was proved in the notes from Donald Rumsfeld and actually printed in the 9-11 report.

Thus proving this administrations blatant agenda for an unnecessary war based on LIES with Iraq.

    The hammer will soon fall.

    Mission Accomplished...Soon!

    Dear Patriot,

Thank you for contacting me about impeachment proceedings for President Bush or members of his Administration. I appreciate hearing from you about this serious issue.

As you know, Congress may remove the President, Vice President, and any Civil Officer of the United States from office through the impeachment process. According to the Constitution, the House of Representatives may impeach an official on charges of "Treason, Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors" (Article II, Section 4) to remove the individual from office. Only two sitting Presidents have ever been impeached: Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. No sitting President has been convicted and removed from office.

  • Why is it that anything that has to do with the environment turns into a Republican conspiracy theory?

Republican's HATE, no, LOATHE conspiracies. BUT they have one exception, the environment.

Anything to do with "cleaning up" the amount of pollution for ANY reason is a "Democratic Scam" only created to reap tax money from the middle class?

Isn't having fuel efficient cars and less pollution a human goal? It has nothing to do with money, unless you expect everything to be free? Will it cost? Sure, but who's the winner in the end?

Even if "Global Climate Change" is complete BS, isn't clean air a good thing? You know, with every breath you breath in those toxins.

If it saves the planet even a little, that can't be bad. I'd also point to our addiction to ME oil, we need serious rehab for that habit.

If you think we are there for stability, then you realize it needs stability for oils sake. If atrocities is the reason, where are we in Africa? That's a genocide.

People are DYING for that precious resource. And you complain it will cost more?

    Shameful...so I guess its all a scam

  • With the bee colony's disappearing would you give up cell phones to solve the problem?

Bee colony's all over the world are disappearing at an alarming rate. The condition is called "colony collapse disorder"

"The beekeepers' warnings had some heavyweight expert support. A pamphlet distributed by the National Union of French Agriculture quoted Albert Einstein. "If the bee disappears from the surface of the earth, man would have no more than four years to live," Einstein was quoted as saying. "No more bees, no more pollination ... no more men!" [From Paul Ames's report for the Associated Press, "Life's Not So Sweet for Europe's Embattled Beekeepers," 24 January 1994.]

Sounds like the Bees might get us before the global climate change. But we'll only find out when it's too late.

If giving up your cell phone meant saving the bees, would the world do it in time? I have my serious doubts.

  • I'm in my third month post rotator cuff surgery. Just started Physical Therapy...how long before?

How long before its healed enough to lift weights again?

One ligament was torn almost all the way and one had a hole in the middle from a bone spur. They tried the arthroscope and then cut me open because of the damage, 5 1/2 hour surgery. So I've been in that foam sling for 9 weeks! And a regular sling for 3 weeks.

    I've went from 18 1/2 inch arms to 15 1/2 inches in 8 months I'M SHRINKING!

But I've been good, following the Dr advice. Going to PT.

How long before I can safely start to lift light weights?

The wait is killing me! My aggression is building!

  • How much can you really know about someone just talking on-line?

Everyone tries to be on their best behavior, but when it comes down to it, can you really trust anyone you haven't looked in the eye? You never know what the truth really is until you meet them in the flesh.

    What do you think?

  • Can you meet hot women with great personalities on Answers? Is this the new intellectual hot-spot?

I think all these smart women are hot. Especially when they argue with me like "Ann Coulter" on steroids.

Are the hottest women online posting on Yahoo Answers? Or am I shamelessly advertising for new contacts?

  • Can the government tax all ugly people less so they can get cosmetic surgery?

It's a growing problem in America, the war on the ugly.

For years these people hid in the shadows. Now with the internet, more and more ugly people will find each other and hook up. The impact will be enormous.

Help save this nation from an influx of ugly children. Like the baby boomer's, this will be the age of the "Ugly Gloomers".

    Stop racism, and start face-ism

(Brought to you by the people who are the ugliest inside you've ever seen.)

  • Why is 32 dead in Virgina a tragedy and 200 dead in a bombing in Iraq just another news day?

What a bunch of hypocrites. Moments of silence, president speaks out against "violence".

America, you think anyone cares you lost 32 in one day when Iraq loses that in an hour EVERYDAY.

We are so screwed up it isn't funny.

  • I'm a tolly against gun control, even after this shooting and I'm a bleeding heart liberal! Is that bad?

People need to stop with the idea that getting tighter gun control will suddenly make MEN stop killing. Men by nature are killers. It is in our DNA. It's a sad fact.

Without guns we'd probably kill even more with bombs, poison, self made wmd's and old fashioned knives and swords.

If a man wants to kill...he'll kill no matter what the law is.

Gun laws only put guns in the hands of criminals and leave us defenseless.

  • Is the news media just vultures waiting for the next sign of bodies on film?

My god the questions they ask about the shooting.

    News - Were you shot?

    Student - yes

    News- How did that feel?

    Student - it hurt.

News- Was anyone killed next to you?

    Student - yes

News - How did you feel about that, what went through your mind?

Student - I felt really bad, I was scared.

Come on dammit, have some fricken decency.

  • If America was attacked and occupied would you be a terrorist or submit to the enemy?

Would you use guerrilla fighting techniques and be a terrorist for the patriots or submit to the invaders victory.

Would you die trying to defeat the invaders?

Would you go on suicide missions?

So when do you think the terrorist will quit in Iraq?

  • Why do some compare the Iraq war to World War II?

Did Iraq declare war on us in 2003? Did WWII have an enemy with no country to invade?

Have the Sunni's, Kurds or Shia declared war on the US?

Did WWII involve attracting combatants to one country to defeat them.

Did we fight a war against an idea or a country in WWII?

You'll never rid the world of terrorist, you just have to be prepared and find ways to stop interfering in the Middle East; this the source of most of our problems.

If anything, this war is just like Viet Nam, without the jungle and the three waring parties.

    16 AnswersMilitary1 decade ago
  • In this war, wouldn't it be better to try and work out a peace, rather than keep waring?

Wouldn't it be better to work out a peace with the Iman's, clerics and rebel leaders? Because the current plan just flat out $ucks.

  • Should the plaque on the Statue of Liberty be torn off and discarded?

It should be torn off because it no longer applies to our beliefs. Why portray a shining example of freedom when its really not our goal anymore. See below:

"Give me your tired, your poor,

Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.

Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.

I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

    Shouldn't it read.

"If you're a tired, weak or a huddled mass, wanting freedom...bla..bla..bla, please take a number until we call your name. Otherwise Liberty is closed until further notice."
